I like that the tape is easily reversible. Acrylic paint on aluminum (which ultrasabers are made out of) is also pretty easy to take off with Acetone, alcohol, lacquer thinner, whatever. Aluminum is notoriously hard to get paint to stick to, but that makes it nice for weathering and experimenting. I might do a combination of both on mine, some paint to make it look dirty in the cracks, and tape to fill in some grooves like you did.
I was a little uneasy about the tap but that looks awesome and gives your saber a whole new look. Completely agree with you on the O-Rings ! Anything that sticks out makes it hard to use for combat. Did you pay for shipping or get the free one ? only asking because I paid and def hasn't been worth it since it still hasn't arrived.

How long did it take to get yours it’s been 10 days sense I ordered if anyone can let me know how long there took please let me know!
