【菊地亨】Toru Kikuchi

陶芸家 菊地亨さんをご紹介します。
菊地さんの器は、自然と手に馴染む質感と、一言では表現しにくいアーティスティックな色使い、同じものが二つと無いアドリブで作られたフォルムが魅力的です。
ただ無作為に作るのではなく、土を同じ重さに分けそこからアドリブで形を作ります。
その独特な形は、使う側に湯呑みや、一輪挿しとして自由に使える余白が残されてます。
複雑な色味はまさに森を見ているようで、たくさんの色や質感が交わり、なんとも言えない深みを感じます。
個性的な器に見えますが、使ってみるととても生活に馴染むところも魅力です。
和の要素も洋の要素も含まれていてさまざまなシチュエーションで使えます。
