    Let me know if you're enjoying the ambiences/sound effects in the videos or if you find them annoying. Otherwise, sources as usual follow.

    Our beautiful, beloved Princess. How her peacocks screamed when she died; how her people still cry for her.

      It's a sad story and at the same time. I am reading as much as possible about her. She is in the sky ,flying high above us.

    It was chilling to learn that that the princess' mother, lying on her deathbed, had a vision of the future which told her that the daughter, Kaiulani, would never marry and would never take the throne. At the time this did not directly imply that the girl would die young because it might have been possible that she would live to be a spinster and some other Hawaiian royalty would assume the throne. The dying mother's vision was either incomplete or else too terrible for the mother to disclose any more of her sad vision to her young daughter. Quantum mechanics tells us that travel to the future is not possible as you can't go somewhere that has never existed. Yet history is full of people having visions of the future that pan out. Christianity believes that only God can foresee the future but why do so many people receive snippets of the future that become reality? In the eleventh century A.D., the Tibetan high lama ruler pronounced a prophesy: When iron birds fly and horses run on wheels, the Tibetan People will be scattered upon the earth. That came true in 1950 as the Red Chinese People's Liberation Army invaded and overwhelmed Tibet.

      Saint Faustina and her mother too like Kaiulani probable must have wondered why they had to succeed in a similar kind of vision result.

    I am not Hawaiian but I do live on the Big Island. The Princess haunts me, her beauty, grace and story. She was our heart and soul. I am one Caucasian that would like to see Hawaii be a sovereign nation again.

    I loved the video but I wish she would have researched how to say their names correctly. It's Kah-e-You-luh-knee. As a hawaiian it's cringy hearing it being said wrong.

      Yes it's called respect your subject is our princess it's not difficult to assure that her beautiful name is pronounced correctly. I did enjoy video that was the only thing that was bothering every time Kai'ulani was pronounced incorrectly. Thank you & best regards.

      I agree. What has over time made it impossible for a lot of her descendants living in the U.S. to recall how to say it properly now exists in the lives of a lot of people today who are often feeling cringy like that too. Like whenever at the time realizing again that they only knew how to read a name or a word in a book instead of saying it properly out loud too.

    I was upset that her family wanted her to stay away so long. Her heart was longing to be home but they wanted her to learn enough about the world to help her country. When Ka'iulani finally got home her heart was breaking seeing what her people were going through and she felt helpless.

      Just making a point: Sadly, native Hawaiians make up just over 10% of the population of Hawaii today.

    I notice they said she was 4th in line to the throne..are there no more heirs??

    • @HobbiesofaVampire
      @HobbiesofaVampire  3 года назад +2

      Her mother's death put her one step closer to the throne, and her uncle and aunt (King Kalākaua and Queen Liliʻuokalani) both had no biological children. A second uncle died young with no issue as well. This led to her eventually being the heir apparent for Queen Liliʻuokalani.

    You lost me at the 18 second mark after mispronouncing Kaʻiulani. There are many other videos available on youtube that are accurate stories told by Kānaka Maoli from Hawaiʻi.

    Im sorry to have to tell u this but t the details of how Queen Liliuokalani sighned the Kingdom over is way off she was illegally imprisoned before she sighed not after and not only 4months but for an entire year before she finally conceded and the reason was out of fear that our ppl would get slaughtered by the U.S. just based on Fire power alone so Reluctantly gave up The Hawaiian Kingdom
