I wouldn't call this death core, they've always had a very unique sound, with crazy timings and non traditional rhythms, like white chapel somatic defilement vs tdtde this is not the same lol and far superior to what I consider "death core" but I do agree basically all "core" bands blow, as I lay dying shadows are security album is the only core album I like. And that's just like metalcore/hardcore or something. Decapitated, cattle decapitation and meshuggah are the 3 gods of metal for me.

I used to hang out with Brad pre-Danza days. He was in Dysfunkshunul(sp?) And DFL Cartel. We did a lot of instrumental stuff together in a little two-man group we called Thomson-Smith Project. He was so incredibly talented but I had NO CLUE how radical his playing would become once he started Danza. If y'all search for our TSP y'all will NOT BELIEVE Brad had a softer side. He always loved the stuff we did. We just used my shitty old analog 4-track and jammed. I was so sad to hear of his passing. I had lost touch with him the last few years.. it's cool to have seen Brad reach his goals and dreams. We always said we'd get together and do new TSP stuff but.... dsmith9626. Come listen to Brad's unheard legacy. I posted everything in his honor and memory. Apologies for the awful recordings. I did NOT know what to do and these are 4th or 5th generation mp3s. Lol. We started on cassette. Transferred to CD. Then eventually converted to mp3s. I am so happy I knew Brad as a friend and I did send him all these old TSP files years ago. I had actually planned to surprise him by telling him to check out my YT ....well his music will live on. Rest in peace my friend.

TTDTE's early material was much closer to actual mathcore, their last LP while I still enjoyed it was more djent/deathcore/metalcore influenced
Pretty impressive how Josh managed to still keep the style very similar to the earlier albums, especially with how complex it is.
He played drums for the band before the recording of danza 3, also his previous bands sounded similar
