IIT KGP campus area is one of the largest in India. During the peak of the Naxalite problem in 1971/72 it was one of the very few Colleges/Institutes that were not closed in WB. We the students, staff & security kept night vigils to protect it. The campus atmosphere in KGP is superbe.
