- Arcane is a videogame adaptation that prioritizes being a great story over selling its game. Everything about it feels like art, so I want to talk about it.
Spoilers for: Arcane, Spider-man, Record of Ragnorak, Castlevania Season 4

Btw, that "boring-looking guy" is Ray Chen, a real violinist, who performed multiple pieces in Arcane)
See I don't mind imagine dragons cameo it actually made me get more involved in the series as it gives you that weird sort of down the rabbit hole feeling that is connecting something you know from real life to a show that feels like it could actually be a real world from how alive and well developed it is.
Caitlyn didn't need a complex background for she was the anchor of sanity for the viewers who try to digest the madness, thanks to Cait, one can connect with someone, one surely knows won't do anything crazy, and her being cute whilst doing so is just a nice bonus.
Yeah 'fightsplaining' as I call it, is kinda an annoying element of many animes. I'm glad Arcane just gets to the action with as minimal dialogue as possible.
Say what you want about Riot, but their Animation, Art, and Music department never fails, also, the violinist is the only boring character visually is because he’s the only one who is directly based on an actual person, which is Ray Chen who does the actual performance his character did as well as the violin in the finale.
This whole series embraces the philosophy of "actions speak louder than words." There are so many shows that don't respect their audience and feel the need to explain and remind them of everything that's going on. For example, there's a scene in the third episode where Vi gives Powder a flare and tells her to light it if she needs her. Three episodes later, Jinx lights the flare at a pivotal moment. In a normal show, we would have a flashback to Vi telling Jinx saying "Light the flare to find me," but this show trusts its audience to have enough of a brain to remember what the flare is and where it came from. Also, if we look at Echo vs. Jinx, when Echo tackles her and starts beating the shit out of her, he doesn't need to tell her how sad he is that they're fighting (something a normal show would do). He just looks at her, and both characters pause for a moment, a sadness in their eyes and a realization of how fucked up the situation is. ITS SO FUCKING GOOD and it would be ruined with words by a normal show.
I cannot for the life of me comprehend the dislike people have for Imagine Dragons. Especially in this show.
To be fair, Records of Ragnarok was really badly adapted, they literally make the most emocional fight a slideshow. The manga is A LOT better and can make you cry.
I'm crying lmfao she called Ray Chen's character boring. And he's a real person hahaha!
Arcane is very clearly a love letter to the LoL community, that still opens it's arms to accept newcomers which is one of the many reasons it is so wildly, rightfully praised! 💜
I disagree with you on one point.
Silco was the most interesting "villain" I've seen in years.
5 years after leaving the game and she still has ptsd over Fizz
Seeing how every character to some degree seems to foil each other in some way it does help connect the story to each other
I like how Gale is honest and list's Hot Characters for the rule 34 folks as one of the things a show needs!XD
I could literally tell you why Caitlyn does what she does. Because I've been literally in her shoes, or rather she has been in mine. This why her arc is a beatiful one, because it reflects how real people feel and would actually act irl.
Thank you for shouting out Castlevania, I feel like people forgot it/missed it in the bangers of animated video game "adaptations"
"Many new characters like Vander"
