Dan, I'm not a Republic serial villain. Do you seriously imagine I would explain my master stroke if there remained the slightest chance of you affecting its outcome? Veidt is combination of Superman and Batman. That's why he is born 1939 (just like Superman #1 and Detective Comics #27), his parents died before he became man (just like Superman's before John Byrne reboot). Traveled World. Secret base in the Arctic. Ozzy also looks same as Gibbons Superman in Superman Annual 11.

In comics, Manchester black was prefect in the superman vs the elite movie. Lex Luthor could count sometimes, especially in red son. With marvel, I would say that the superior spiderman was a good arc though that was more anti-hero. Anti-villain would be magneto.

Rorschach's journal exposing the truth? Nobody will believe it. The New Frontiersman is a crank publication with a circulation smaller than the Ox & Bucs Observer and the public knows Rorschach to be a murderer and a lunatic. That's what the reaction would be in any real world, especially from a public floating high on the fact of a new world no longer facing the peril of nuclear destruction. That Adrian's achievement will eventually crumble is lampshaded not only by the Shelley quote but Jon's last words to him before he leaves the galaxy altogether: "Nothing ever ends, Adrian." No order lasts forever. It won't come from the "exposure" of Adrian's plan in some crank tabloid but from the natural human tendency to fuck things up in the end.
@@chasemartino1197 Yeah, the new Watchmen is complete trash. Honestly, what haunts me the most about this part of the book is the implications of global annihilation as explained by Ozymandias. "'End of the world' does the concept no justice. The world's present would end. It's future, immeasurably vaster, would also vanish. Even our past would be cancelled. Our struggle from the primal ooze, every childbirth, every personal sacrifice rendered meaningless, leading only to dust, tossed on the void winds. Save for Richard Nixon, whose name adorns a plaque on the Moon, no human vestige would remain. Ruins become sand, sand blows away... all our richness and color and beauty would be lost... as if it had never been."
Jon would leave eventually. He was more and more detached from humanity. Ozy had no hand in Laurie and Jon's squabbles, and Doc Manhattan said himself that their relationship was the only thing keeping him connected to Earth. If anything he only sped up the process so his plans would be on exchedule.
jb687827 they had mentioned previously that the nuclear arsenals were growing so large that if it were to break out, (which was inevitable) Jon would not be able to stop them all and the nukes he couldnt stop would still be able to wipe out life on earth
Ozymandius also wanted humanity to improve itself, he understands that having a god around to spank you whenever you get bad is horrible for human psyche and development. Arts and ideas flourish after catastrophic events
My point was that Ozymandias, regardless of any allegorical implications, intentions or probable outcomes, saved the world even if it was only for another day.
Multi-screen viewing engages me like the kinetic equivalent of an abstract or impressionist painting. Words and images evade rational analysis, allowing subliminal hints of the future to leak through. Transient and elusive: these must be grasped quickly. Computer animations imbue even breakfast cereals with a hallucinogenic futurity: music channels process information-blips, avoiding linear presentation, implying limitless personal choice. These reference points established, an emergent worldview becomes gradually discernible amongst the media's white noise. An era of the conceivable made concrete; and of the casually miraculous.
Because miss the point of the stupid plan about a giant octopus killing millions And the fact would be Discover anyways, Ozy leaves a lot of missing links like the artists and scientifics or the Watchmen discounting Kovacs
The black freighter is the threat, perceived or real, that drives the action of the captain. The threat of nuclear/societal/world destruction drives Veidt to his actions. Or is it just the vicious nature of the Captain’s character or Veidt’s ego that is driving them.
