Great conversation as always! Small tip: you should read out the viewer questions that come up on screen, or read/speak anything that’s displayed on screen like specific albums that are being shown, because lots of folks like myself like to put these podcasts/streams on in the background while working or doing other things, and when I just hear “here’s a question for you” but then it’s not actually read aloud, I have to grab my phone and rewind it to read what the question was. Basically I’d recommend keeping audio-only listeners in mind. Again, just a small suggestion! 😊
Enjoyed watching this. I'm not sure where to ask since I can't typically watch live but was wondering when you talk to him next if you could ask him what he does to protect his hearing. I am always interested in those who work in sound what steps they take
Would’ve loved to ask this live but curious from the perspective of KG, BG or any others in the industry if there are concerns 3+ years after the Apollo Masters fire that wiped out one of only two lacquer manufacturers in the world, the other being in Japan. I remember there being doomsday concerns because Apollo would like never rebuild. And there were pushes to open another manufacturing plant to relieve the stress. Just curious if anyone has any knowledge of what’s going on. Without lacquers we’d be reliant on DMM, and that’s largely limited to Europe.
Good luck Kevin, if you don't win theres no justice!😮 If you don't win, it just shows that they dont really LISTEN! Ive never heard a bad record from Kevin Gray!
Steve, whether or not Bernie ran the copytape of Aja backwards when he made his recent copytape would be interesting to know. Also what does Bernie think of the method of running the mastertape or safety tape backards? Thanks for the show with Kevin, always good to see him up on the screen.
Another great video, Steve. Always a pleasure to hear updates from KG.
Thanks Fred. Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks Steve! Kevin is 1st class and one of the best mastering engineers ever. Great show…
My pleasure. That was a lot of fun.
Kevin's engineering is only rivaled by his kindness. So enjoy sessions with him, thanks Steve!
Much appreciated. Thanks for watching.

Let’s hope he gets at least 1 Grammy nod. Would be so cool.
Congrats on award consideration Kevin. Well deserved. Same goes for Kristen.
Let’s hope they get the nomination for the Grammy’s now 🙏
