I am glad you got it working again. However, this seems like a poor solution or fix from the company. What happens when/if that port goes bad? I would hope they would send out a replacement main board for you to swap out.
So a technical run down from what I can see, is the board has 2 comm channels, we have similar in machines I work on. They can go bad or develop a bad connection (corrosion usually), thus the timeouts. Switching the comm channel restored being able to hash. Question I would be asking is if they are sending you a new board. When this happens at work, we replace the boards. Mainly so we can keep uniformity, but also we can’t diagnose the same problem in the future if we run out of comm channels.
Glad to see you got it back and running. I would be sweating though, knowing that I would be down to my last port. You know if they sell spare boards in the event the 2nd one goes down?
Only thing I ever had did was a 5700xt not sure why it stopped working. I also had a 1660 super stop working but that was after a thermal paste swap so I’ll take error on that one
I just found this channel, Dude, you are way beyond a Hobbyist. When do you suppose you'll ever do a desk top pc with a couple - three GPU's in it video? for the average rookie etc,,,
So it has only 2 ports, if both go bad ,you are screwed !! One port lasts about a year..Good to know.I'm glad I didn't buy this miner, there is no way this miner lasts 5 years ! But is the most efficient cloud miner on ETC ! It's a cloud miner, that's why takes less energy.
I have one like this working for three months, but recently the hashrate rate has dropped by half, before it was around 600 and today it is around 300, would you have any tips to help me?
You do know your time mining ETH with that miner is limited by the 5GB DAG size, that is a poor quality video from a company that is selling very expensive equipment, not sure they wanted you sharing that with the world! Wouldn't buy that miner unless it had 16GB of memory.
It was probably mining for several years in Jaz Miner's own farm before they released it to the public, so the hardware is probably a few years old 🤣 But for real, are you sure its not because you exceeded the 5G DAG size?
This guy is breaking an ASIC every single week lol ASIC seems really poor when it comes longevity, i can't believe people are just so crazy about them :/
i'll never be convinced otherwise. asics were the cause of the silicon shortage. and they're the world's most expensive paper weight. but hey at this rate you may even ROI if you're able to transition to PoWeth or classic. just seems like alot of risk compared to a GPU(s)
Had mine go down a month ago. It was the control board got a new one and that one went bad in 5 min. Got another one and it’s bin working fine. Jingle mining has great customer service.

What Mining Gear have you had Fail or Die recently?!
the only things I've ever had fail in the mining farm were
- 1x 1000GQ psu
- 1x 3060 V1 GA104 MSI Ventus X3
Evga 2060 that was on flux
antminer E9
Gigabyte 3060 ti aorus elite
2 mini-doge... might be bad fans according to some. No real service department to take them to and get em fixed.
Is in Chinese he say unplug the whit cable and replug it again and you were hear the click sound ... and make sure the white cable is plug it properly
Thank you
Corrext
Happened last night. Thank s to you, fixed today :) Thank you!!!
Glad it helped!

Thats lucky 😎 Happy days its working again
Yeah! Thank you
Lol , & that's the very last time you'll hate the noise,
Quality 🤛

This ^
It makes total sense. I appreciate the input and feedback!
Hi Hobb i'm still mining eth I got 500mh but all good

not sure if I can put a like on this video buddy!
haha. I appreciate your support!

Welcome! I have a few videos using older PCs and breaking them down to use as mining rigs. I also have a 500 rig build too.

Well damn bro first your asic burns now the Jasminer... GPUS are easier lol.

Yes. The DAG File Size is over 5 GBs now. Tomorrow with the Ethereum Merge it will stop mining. You need to swap to ETC.
Worth knowing, how old is the unit out of interest? I've had mine since about April/May and seems ok so far.
Less than a year.
Pumping? Lol.. glad you got it working though!
🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋
F
The Dag file did just hit 5GB
This was a hardware problem. Checkout the video.

I'd watch the entire video.

Nope. Watch the entire video and find out ;)
Hobbyist miner killer of ASICS.
Destroyer of worlds! Lol
Just make another video and have them send you another one for free.
Watch the entire video, no need ;)

glad I found this video, having the same issue and switching cable solved it !
jajaj te lo mereces
So half the board is dead in less then a year lol.
At first I thought the miner was prescient and was predicting the demise of PoW 😁
Please create video step by step monero mining on hive OS. thank you
He said change the plug in slot.
and something about shorting or poor connection
i'll never be convinced otherwise.

Only 65 MH on that miner, but it only costs $749 for a brand new one

Now that's how you get your "groove" on! 😆
Oh Fancy
Change the miner to use a static IP.
I use IP reservations on my Router
@@TheHobbyistMiner understood have you tried telling that ON the miner too? what could it hurt to try I guess?
