For everyone's clarity - that is *not* a proprietary USB jack, it is USB 3.0 Micro B. Very standard/common. You'll never have a problem finding these 👍

I wish you showed the actual set-up, ie. connecting the WiFi, etc, software etc. I have followed all manual unstructions etc, I can't get WiFi connection to the drive, etc. After lights turn blue, 30 seconds later it flashes green and doesn't change, no WiFi etc. Very frustrated here...

I'm considering this for a (very) small business aspect. I have 3 computers, all in the same room, but I would like to access my files via all 3 computers. I have a "mobile hotspot" style internet (not a tiny hotspot but a large yeti cup sized box that is my wireless T-Mobile internet modem that DOES have an available ethernet port on the back). Ok, here's my question... Can I connect this SSK to my T-Mobile internet modem and then be able to access my files wirelessly, easily, within the one room? Even though this SSK is "portable", I would basically leave it sitting in place all the time (does it come with a plug that I can just leave in plugged in so it'll stay charged and accessible all the time? If not, does it tell me which one I could buy to facilitate this?). Lastly, do I HAVE TO install the app on the 3 computers I'd be using it on or would it sort of just be like a "server" sitting over there? The server concept is what I'm looking for, but I do like that it's portable if/when need be. I think, from your video, if I wanted to back up my phone or something, I'd have to install the app, but I'm curious about having to install it on my computers. Can this be used along with the Ethernet connection and via the usb? Lets say it is directly connected to a machine via USB and then a machine access it via ethernet. Is this possible?

I have the exact same question and it is a shame that this video did not cover that use case. I travel a lot and don’t like bringing my laptop. It would be great to know if this can be used to transfer from my SD cards to this HD and also see what the user interface looks like. For instance, how do I know when it has finished?

Yes it has a usb port just get a USB adapter for the sd card.

The instruction book for this is not clear, especially when it comes to the password when trying to set it up. your video does not show how to set up to the Wifi.
Keep getting "device not set up for remote access " but wifi set up etc. Have iphone 11.
need a honest benchmark of the speed for ethernet, wifi and usb transfers
good idea product but stuff like these are usually too good to be true with all bells and whistle for low price then they perform like crap
think i saw the other 4TB model only transfer up to 20MB/s lmfao on LAN!

That’s a good question, I don’t see why not.
Does it work with an iPhone?
Yes, it has an app it works through or you can directly connect it with aftermarket dongles.
That USB 3 connector is an open standard, not proprietary.
DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE!!! It’s Chinese junk! I fell for this 2 years ago bought the 2tb drive because I wanted to store all my movies on them and wirelessly watch them on my phone. The app interface is clunky and often doesn’t work! When it does work and you wirelessly upload your file from your phone and then turn it off VIOLA!! They are gone. Just vanished!
Thanks to late but ill just use it as a charging device
