Can’t deny he did well at the end of last season in bizarre circumstances. 4 months without a win, though, long ball after long ball and poor use of his subs. Limited resources, yes! In a weird kind of way, he was probably the only man for THAT job. But for me, a progressive Everton, in our new stadium with hopefully new finances, isn’t one led by Sean Dyche. Game of opinions.

    I wonder what the sides of the pitches will look like. I'm a fan of the red concrete or stone used at the side of the pitch at Old Trafford. I also wonder if the pitch will be raised like Old Trafford or flat like at Anfield?

    • @davidbadcock2225
      @davidbadcock2225 Месяц назад +1

      lee: the pitch will be raised in comparison with its surrounds, as the general principle is to create an elevated water-table which is then controlled for water in and out. It will have a camber as that aids the passive gravity-flow and helps prevent any water-logging over time. Some say that it influences wing-play too!

    • @rosse6705
      @rosse6705 Месяц назад +1

      It will need cutting all the time. It's still going to be over 90% grass like all the other pitches at top clubs in the league. They just add a certain % of artificial rubber fibres so the grass is more durable and can be played on more regularly. That % is always less than 10% so it basically isn't to far off just a standard grass pitch.

    • @davidbadcock2225
      @davidbadcock2225 Месяц назад +3

      Tony: you can see where the level of the pitch surround will lie next to the bottom of the terraces by the level of the manholes that are present at various points around the pitch area. That pitch surround will have a camber on it (slope upwards slightly) to the current level of the fusion-welded membrane, as the plan is that the pitch itself sits on an elevated water-table, so that the water in and out is controlled in a very specific way.
      The gradient of the camber from the pitch edge to the centre is not specified anywhere that I have yet found and there doesn't appear to be legal limits set by FIFA but my guess would be that it will be similar to that of the GP pitch. In which case I doubt the highest point of the pitch will be much above the level of the bottom terrace flat and certainly not above the first seats when they are in the lowered position. I'd be interested to find out from someone what the planned cambers are to be.

    Im disappointed that the stadium is looking like a multi-story because of the brickwork .
    I love the location and weirdly i like the glass side with the wavey light reflections. The glass side reminds me of a train station and an old swimming pool.
    Do you know where the architect got his inspiration from?

    • @davidbadcock2225

      The brick facades and the black interstitial paneling reflects the Albert Docks, Tobacco Warehouse and the Titanic Hotel, so as to pay homage to the dock warehouses (maybe multi-storey car parks took THEIR inspiration from those buildings!). The N and S glass windows take their inspiration from Lime Street Station. The top half (roofing) is to display a modern concept building of different material and form/shape with the passage of time since the old Victorian Buildings. There are numerous nods and winks in the concept and a prime objective was to ensure that the building does not look like a uniform, sterile blob, with every angle and view of the compass revealing a different appearance, as an organically-grown stadium would have.

    • @rosse6705
      @rosse6705 Месяц назад +3

      @god_ynwa The Brickwork is so the stadium ties in with the surrounding buildings in that area like the Titanic Hotel & Tobacco Warehouse. It never would have got passed being modern top to bottom so they've gone with the best of both. I actually like it like that because it makes it unique compared most stadiums.

    • @DuncTheBlue1878
      @DuncTheBlue1878 Месяц назад +2

      @@jack4500 The club commissioned consultants to help decide what the capacity should be. They contacted many of the fanbase and considered other factors - ultimately, the EFC board at the time decided on 52,888. Another factor was that the club were told to reduce the height of the stadium due to the heritage status. Considering there are 35,000 now on the season ticket waiting list, the 52,888 decision is obviously a mistake.
      The wheelchair access platforms around the stadium are to be commended and will definitely not detract from the atmosphere at all. I think 0.6% of the capacity will be for wheelchair users and this is higher than the PL average.
      The 7 layers to the roof will make this ground the loudest in the league.
