Now that I'm finally off from work, i got to finally watch this video. This PN definitely shined up like a new penny for sure. That brushroll without the beater bars sure is something. I have the same style in my Rainbow R4375 PN. You turn it on and it just takes off on it's own lol, I love it.

Looks and sounds really good. Weather stripping from Walmart works as an economical replacement for deteriorated parts. Can help channel air flow and keep dust off motor.

I would love to see some tests on this with the replacement CWP brush roll compared to the original beater bar brush roll (sand, fine dust, baking soda, and all).

Fun little tear down and clean up! Almost looks like an Oreck without a fan casing!
I do want to mention as someone who plays around with motors and electrics, unless the black stuff on the commutator bars is something other than carbon (like dirt or grease) or if it’s causing the brushes to not wear or seat correctly, it’s not terribly important that it’s cleaned up. Ideally it’s all just brush carbon anyhow, it’s just as conductive as what the brushes are made of, and it’ll return in pretty short time.

Why don't you watch many more of my commutator reseating videos and you'll clearly see and hear the difference. In short, the brushes seat better, the power usage goes up to factory specs and the wind up and wind down are much better.

Excellent vid! Extremely helpful for cleaning as well as some DIY replacement parts!... Just got a good-used power nozzle replacement. Both my newer and older models are exact same as you have in this video. I was hoping to see exactly how to switch re-wiring of both cords, because I was unaware that they had different cords when I bought the newer one. FYI, BOTH those models work my same model D4C @ same 1.4 AMPS... IF I could find a good Power Pistol Wand & Hose that works specifically for the R-4375C I wouldn't have to worry about rewiring. Any idea of What Model #'s of Pistols work with that?

Any ones from 1997 and back work fine.

I have the same power nozzle. Any difference in cleaning power with the original beater bar/bristle combo vs just the bristles? Mine still has the original beater bar style brush roll

I'm unable to test because this went back with Thomas a while back.
