This video helped me loads my wife has a Cascada and the rear brake setup is exactly the same, all other vauxhall brake change videos do not have the same caliper assembly as this
stepzc hello, yes they do if you feel the handbrake is not working as properly as it should then you will have to adjust it from under the handbrake console... but that’s only if the handbrake is not working correctly
Lansa I used a Sealy trolley jack with axle stands.. I would never recommend working on a car just on pinchwelds or a trolley jack all ways have axle stands to 1. Prevent injuring your self seriously 2. Seriously damaging the vehicle... these products are cheap to purchase find them on google Euro car parts Halfords...
Hi Car solutions, im struggling to find a place that sells the caliper vibration pin, the one you removed from 1:30 to 1:35 seconds. Are they needed or can I do woth out? No calipers I've found have these for the Vauxhall Astra GTC 2.0 CDTi Auto. Thanks.
Aggelos Kirannos they are called Shims used to ensure the pad stays in the proper place in the carrier arms of the caliper and reduce irregular brake noise. These need changing because the old ones may be damaged they come with the new set or brake pads so you might as well change them.

what about getting the piston back in?, is it screwed back or just pushed?
