Good video. Short, to the point and no bullsh!t talk in between. Too many people like to hear their own voices now on youtube and blabber on about crap you don't need to hear. You didn't, well done.

Hey, great video. Does the handbrake auto-calibrate?

stepzc hello, yes they do if you feel the handbrake is not working as properly as it should then you will have to adjust it from under the handbrake console... but that’s only if the handbrake is not working correctly

What tool did you use to wind back the caliper. Can you link to the model or reference it?

Howdy mate, where did you jack up the vehicle? I don't like using the pinchwelds for jacking. Thanks mate :)

Lansa I used a Sealy trolley jack with axle stands.. I would never recommend working on a car just on pinchwelds or a trolley jack all ways have axle stands to 1. Prevent injuring your self seriously 2. Seriously damaging the vehicle... these products are cheap to purchase find them on google Euro car parts Halfords...

@@CAR_SOLUTIONS But you do jack up the vehicle on the pinchwelds, correct? :)

Ed Cleasby Cavities for brake pad anti rotation pin must be aligned in order to ensure an appropriate mounting onto the inner brake pad.

Hi Car solutions, im struggling to find a place that sells the caliper vibration pin, the one you removed from 1:30 to 1:35 seconds.
Are they needed or can I do woth out?
No calipers I've found have these for the Vauxhall Astra GTC 2.0 CDTi Auto.
      Thanks.

Why I must to change the clips?

    • @CAR_SOLUTIONS

Aggelos Kirannos they are called Shims used to ensure the pad stays in the proper place in the carrier arms of the caliper and reduce irregular brake noise. These need changing because the old ones may be damaged they come with the new set or brake pads so you might as well change them.
