All of this subject is defined by class. Had this prodigy, which I don't doubt he is, been born into a lower working class family living on welfare, or to parents with two or three jobs, struggling to make ends meet I doubt that we ever would have heard of him. I have no doubt either that there have been many prodigies throughout history who have never had the chance to flower simply because they've been tethered to the business of directing every ounce of their being into the occupation of 'not dying from starvation'.
"I started late, I started when I was 11". I started piano when I was 19 (I'm 20 now),and my parents never really supported my love for music as a child so there's no hope for me to be the composer I've dreamed about being. Idc anymore though I'm obsessed with music and that love and obsession is all that matters to me. Music will always be a part of my life and that is enough for me.
"Mistress" of the contents of William Byrd, Orlando Gibbons, and the Britten of Peter Grimes? Kid, your music doesn't show the slightest scintilla of those masters. Let's not embarrass their legacies by citing their names in connection with your work, huh? Somebody tell Andrew Solomon that this kid is not and was not a prodigy. What he is is an extremely fortunate beneficiary of studying with the right teachers and being the right kind of mediocrity at just the moment the culture demanded it.
Figaro Gogarty He is representative of the new trend that sees the middle classes occupying the arts, talent or no talent, simply because they can afford to do so. It's an indulgence and we all have to suffer.

He is not. A real prodigy would be porficient by age 10. The strange book of the channel owner mixed different false assumptions together.
This prodigy kid is super likable. I wasn't expecting that.

@@expilectakunai It is unrealistic. Starting at 20 means there will be no meaningfull result. Waste of effort.
