I like what I see so far - also, you need to do a ton of these, not only on G-Leaguers but the NBA at large when there's a great performance. Obviously, Kings first, but I like these breakdowns.
I also think his defensive instinct will translate to the NBA pretty fast. He might not be able to sustain long stints right away, and he'll pick up some fouls from clever players, but he really hase a nose for the ball. Think about him, Keon, a health Murray, and an engaged Fox. They could end up making life hell for some teams.
From Devin Carters Defensive IQ to his hustle I really believe that he can carry that over to the NBA. Hope to see him and Keon Ellis minutes at times because that backcourt gonna be isane defensively.
@@astral_fetus if his 3 pt shot is for real, a Fox, Keon, Carter, Murray, Lyles lineup could be effective against many lineups while getting Monk, Derozan, and Sabonis rest. That’s a small ball lineup that has a tremendous amount of switchability potential, hustle, athleticism, and can still put up points.
Keep in mind the NBA Rookie of the Year award doesn’t have the 65-game requirement. He could easily take it this year if he plays this well and helps the Kings win games.
Height doesn't matter. Sidney Moncrief, Gary Payton and Marcus Smart are about the same height and they all won DPOY. I love Marcus Smart (not some of his flops) and hope Carter will bring about the same energy and intensity! 🙂
Right, when your wingspan and standing reach are both fantastic for your height and you’re beyond gifted athletically plus have the motor and discipline… as any Kings fan I was upset to see another guard drafted but after seeing stats and highlights the disappointment became excitement this guy is a player!
Hope we are not forced to trade him but if I was betting man I would say he is traded if the kings want a starting caliber type of player as a wing ..mainly cause that huerter contract is not desirable when a similar player if not better luke kennard is making 8 mill a year
I think it's pretty clear...Kings go undefeated the remainder of the season, sweeping the playoffs for a title because DC is the missing piece...the key that unlocks....whatever, I just hope we don't panic & include him in some bonehead trade that won't make any difference. Keep your/our 2 stars & let's see what Devin can add to the team. Kings ownership/management, I know you're reading this...don't give in to panic. Wait, who's on the phone?? I really would like for him to be our staring PG! Fox is good, but we can get a lot of talent around a 2 way point guard!
