I'm going to go with the NYPD.

0:09 this made my whole day seeing a Fargo N.D officer as yesterday (July 14 2023) 4 officers (in Fargo) were shot and 3 were critically injured and one was end of watch. The one who was end of watch was fresh out of the academy graduated in April and was with his supervisor responding to a crash when a man pulled an automatic weapon from the trunk of his car and shot at them.
LAPD is the best followed closely by nypd
It’s important to mention that NYPD is the only Police Department with an international presence (at least to my knowledge) they have over 14 intelligence posts outside the US in cities like London, Paris, Abu Dhabi, Sydney, etc. where they station detectives.
Edit* I’ve notice people seem to misunderstand this post and mention temporary overseas training or sending over advisors, but what I mean is that the NYPD have officers stationed overseas full time. The NYPD Intelligence Division & Counter-Terrorism Bureau has officers stationed in 14 cities internationally
They have sent various police advisors to many countries in the world.
LAPD too swat goes over seas
@@who7129proof?
why tho
ahh nvm i had to think 9/11
Liberty City PD is no joke. 3 star wanted level and higher it's over
Yup 😂
Los Santos is pretty bad also
Los santos will get the notorious NOOSE on you
XD
Naw bro LSPD are ruthless, they will shoot you on the spot if you look at them wrong
It’s be cool if you could cover more municipal swat teams across the country like San Diego, SF, Dallas, Houston, etc
There used to be a show called Combat Missions those SWAT guys was tough Navy Seals and Marine Recon could not get rid of them 😂😂😂😂
Do a story on houstons harding street raid 😅😂😅
Come to think about it they did that already it use to come on A&E channel they did Dallas Houston Kansas City and San Antonio
San Diego is the best police department, I live here and I have never had a bad experience with them and they have the best rating in the country
MIAMI DADE POLICE
You gentlemen are always professional and give the info without personal bias. Amazing channel to learn from, thanks guys
LAPD S.W.A.T is probably the best out of the three when it comes to hostage, and extreme situations. But the NYPD's special response teams (the officers you see postioned on rooftops, and streets dressed in full tactical armor/clothes holding sniper rifles and assault rifles) is unmatched providing security across the city for major events.
I mean yea with hondo out there not much you can do
LAPD protects a world class city that is considered to be the entertainment capital of the world and hosts a few high-profile events every now and then.
NYPD ESU clears LAPD SWAT. They aren’t their for protection they go to the most dangerous calls, do bridge rescues, car wrecks, water rescues. They do everything LAFD and LAPD do except fight fires.
The NYPD unit you mentioned is Strategic Response Group.
@@hectorrodriquez2234 lol Los Angeles is a not a world class city, and no, LAPD swat aren't GOD operators. Plenty of fuck ups with that unit in this city, do your research.
As far as regular Police it’s a crapshoot. If you’re talking SWAT. LAPD by a long shot. Fact
True story
What about Miami SWAT?
@@offspringfan1288This video didn't consider them, and they aren't as good as LAPD SWAT, imo.
I wonder why the navy seals train with LAPD swat out of all the various hmmm 🤔.
Agreed. LAPD SWAT was the first and was started by a Recon Marine. They literally wrote the book.
I think it was overlooked by NYPD ESU does a lot of things that traditionally Fire Departments in other cities do. NYPD ESU often does vehicular extractions (with the jaws of life), scuba rescue etc, a lot of non law enforcement work that will traditionally see the Fire Department do in other cities.
And they are also very good at the things LAPD SWAT does. All those high rise rescues, water rescues and even the scenarios where people climb bridges, ESU does it all along with warrants. In NY there’s a saying “if people need help they call the police, if the police need help they call ESU”.
Born and rasied in NYC myself, NYPD is massive and at one point i wanted to be in the NYPD after the army but long story short...after moving to Florida, serving as Military police in the army for 5 years i have no desire to do law enforcement let alone in a massive city like back home.

Forgot to mention the NYPD's 9 Housing Police Service Areas (PSAs), in addition to the 78 precincts (they Added a new one in Staten Island recently) & 12 Transit Districts to patrol the city!
After living in the Chicago area for most my life until I joined the marines then moved to Texas. CPD should take Arctic warfare school because some of those winters are just brutal
I worked Dowtown during the polar vortex. Winters in the city are no joke.

For NYPD, you don’t need to live in the 5 Boroughs. It can be any of the surrounding counties as well.
I had to beat out over 200 applicants for my one LAPD Academy spot. Over my 25 year career, I have been a consultant on a national TV show and have been published in several law enforcement publications. I've trained law enforcement officers across America and several different countries. LAPD is know worldwide. LAPD is in the most movies and TV shows. Hands down, LAPD has the best law enforcement tactics. Its simple, LAPD is the best!
I’ll give LAPD tactics, but discipline, maturity , and structure.. nope.
Yea but you have to live in la….

Shoutout to Fargo PD for the most badass recruitment video to date
Do one on LA County Sheriff Department.
Theyre trash as well, nobody cares about LASD. That agency fires good deputies and force the remaining deputies to work endless amount of overtime.
You made a mistake regarding the requirements to be appointed to the NYPD. You don't necessarily have to live within the city limits, you can also reside in one of 6 surrounding counties.
IMO I think LAPD tactics to deescalate are the best, if you watch the body-cams the way they control the situation and task different officers is amazing, you don’t have 10 guys unloading on a suspect it’s usually 1 or 2 officers that shoot 2 times, I think they are the best because of that
Hey general, love your videos!
NYPD is hands down the best, when was the last time you've seen a mass shooting in new york?
can u do some for FDNY, LAFD and CFD
Excellent Video of the NYPD LAPD Chicago PD . One of my favorite videos. Thank you 🇺🇸
This is all wrong Los Santos police solos with the endless waves of cops
Please do RCMP. The size of the NYPD doing policing across the second largest country.
We plan on it!
Best channel with best information 👍👍
General Discharge, you should a video on Phoenix PD!
"middle of nowhere kentucky" man why you do us like that 😭
LAPD is viewed as the best. Not even close.
Nice video! Keep them coming.
Thank you!
You should do Koninklijke Marechaussee MPs who can be seen patrolling cities with the regular police. Also cool if you did more things international
and yet still, the LSPD manages to find you even if your invisible
I know you guys don’t do videos on policy, but I’d love to watch a video on your take on the 1033 program, which allows law enforcement to access excess military equipment.
Same thing I was thinking. I saw the thumbnail and started to wonder what does an image like that have to do with policing?

I’m sure the US trains many, many capable and good officers. But 6 months?!?
In my country the basic training takes 2 years and 4 months!
You're country is likely significantly smaller, we have a population 330 million. We Don't have time to train regular law enforcement or even conventional military units like Infantry that long

May you do a video on the Los Angeles Sheriff's Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB), please. 🙏

Hey general, can we get a video on the requirements to become an officer in all the military branches? And possibly rank them in order?
Pretty simple. get a four year college degree. Have good enough grades. Either join ROTC in college, or enlist and do OCS. Don't be fat and slow.
@@Project_Tribe copy
Given the crime rates and lack of willingness to prosecute (except where politically expedient), none of them are exactly shining examples right now.
You know prosecution is done by district and state attorneys, not by the police themselves right? They can arrest the same people 30 times and if they have lousy prosecutors, they will see the majority of the cases dropped or plea bargained down to nothing. It is not uncommon at all. Look at most of the criminals in the news and the length of most their criminal histories is mind boggling.
@@daschmidtz True but look at how many people the police don't arrest because they are in a 'protected' group. "Justice is blind"? Well it isn't if you're a straight, white, Christian male. Then you're guaranteed to be arrested, interrogated, and charged, even if you were defending yourself or others.
Do sheriff's offices next.
Definitely need a sheriffs one
I think you should do one on the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia (MPDC)
Can you make a video comparing Pasadena PD In CAL, Burbank PD in CAL, and Glendale PD in CAL
You guys should do a video on the Las Vegas Metro Police!
Are you gonna do one for Fire Departments?
Most random thought came to me. Do cops play GTA?
Bruh NYPD has more personnel than my military in my country 😭
You can join the NYPD and not live in the 5 boroughs.
LAPD gets help from the Sheriff's office and California Highway patrol. Those 3 departments make up the LA and greater LA police force.
Plus, LA has its own school PD, Port Police, Airport Police, Park Rangers, and numerous college PDs to help break up responsibilities.
@@paddypace True, thanks for the added info.
@@paddypace and nypd has peps, port police and even sanitation police.
@slamdancer1720 true. The point being that LAPD is understaffed by at least 6000 by comparison. They need the other departments to augment their shorthandedness.
@@paddypace Yeah i dont think theres one PD in the country that has full staff. NYPD has a movie set unit that are all officers that help with Law and order, etc. That unit has been greatly reduced. Now cops who havent been street cops in 10 years are back out on the street or in the higher up positions. Not good either way.
Is there anymore PD’s?
Could you do a video on the Michigan State Police and more specifically the Emergency Support Team (EST)?
New Yorker here! If you ever saw how our cops shoot at the local range your jaw would drop on how bad they are. No wonder why we have incidents with crazy round counts
Could you do a video on federal law enforcement rangers like the USFS/BLM/NPS?
Also include the USFWS, NOAA OLE, and DOD CLEO Program.
Miami Dade County Sheriff Department is a great group also
I did my 20 with NYPD . The organization succeeds inspite of itself. There is so much poltics , nepotism, favoritism , race bias on all sides , its remarkable. The training as a whole sucks , Firearms and tactics are terrible, . You have to go outside the job to get the training you need , just look at some of the arrest videos , cops dancing around with a perp trying to collar them , if it wasnt so dangerous it would be funny. That being said I worked some great people who are also great cops. Im glad i retired and done with the clown show but i do miss the clowns.
Could you do a video of Air Force special operations in the Guard?
Please do a video comparing Naval Aircrewman VS Air Force Special Mission Aviators VS USMC Aircrewman VS Army Aircrewman
You should do a video on Miami Dade County Police SRT. That's another large agency with a pretty cool spec ops team and City of Miami SWAT. They have a cool past history when it comes to the cocaine cowboys era to now

Have you done a video on the 25th infantry??
In nypd the requirement is now highschool diploma
Ever thought about doing regions of the country? South, central, north east. That type. Interesting to see how they differe
CPD can be great but they’re very corrupt. I’ve seen them and officers of CCSD shake up with each other. As in gang handshakes. Now there are great officers from there too. But they treat them like shit though.
I want to know more about CPD SWAT
If they are not allowed to put their training to work because of the politics then the training is kind of worthless isn't it
Yup
11:57 Doggo said “Boop!” to the camera

The TV show he mentioned, Chicago PD is dope. I recommend everyone check it out.
In the uk there was a big fight going on between a large group of robbers at a shop and bystanders trying to stop them and one of the criminals smashed a bottle over somebodies head and knocked them out leaving them bleeding on the floor and no police showed up when called and somebody found a police car around the corner and they refused to go in saying it wasn’t their job because they were the wrong rank
Nobody showed up until all the robbers had escaped and it wasn’t the police it was an ambulance for the person who got bottled
God save the King/Queen
Yeah that's why guns are banned in UK . What if some terror militia where to attack what are the police going to do show up with razers? Or the armed police which you have to summon like in the military

7:48 dude needs to work on his Flashbangs.
honestly I just needed a little reference, in my case as i live in Austria I looked up the Policeforce in Austria/Vienna and holy cow Vienna has only around 7,5k Police Forces and Austria as a whole has around 31k. But Austria also has only a little more People living there than in NY so the relation between citizens and forces kinda matches.
What I don't understand why the relation between Vienna and LA doesn't match as Vienna has only 2 Million Citizen but almost as big of an Police Force as LA with double the Citizen and as far as i know much higher crime rate.
They need to address the cops in gangs. There out of control and are criminal themselves!
NYPD here, maybe I can bring some clarity. To the guys/girls on the job and more specifically the officers who are in these units all know that the most important thing is repetition. Just looking at raw data and numbers isn't going to explain to you what's happening when you're looking at body-cam footage.
No other specialized tactics team is hitting doors, serving warrants and doing raids at the rate that NYPD's ESU teams are, there's a difference between training for a hostage rescue and then actually doing it. Only through experience will your body actually be able to deal with real resistance. But note not all ESU teams are created equal, last I checked the department has its own "A team" to just do SWAT work.
On a patrol level? LAPD takes the cake, for w.e reason their department cares about their regular patrol cops just a little bit more than the average Large city police dept lol. With regular pistol AND shotgun training, as well as officers being able to use non-lethal rounds, their tactics are always on average pretty efficient. NYPD's training is abysmal, after the academy you're left to your own devices. The department seems to cater to house mouses (Admin staff who dont need the training) and specialized units who aren't regularly doing patrol work.
When the SWAT look like straight up MARSOC
I feel like NYPD is kinda the goat here. They are BADASS
I agree, but as a Chicagoan, do you think CPD is badass? I won’t get mad if you say no
NYPD also used to have a academy in Manhattan. Last time i checked its a school now.

Suggestion: compare the Hawaii Police department, Policia de Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico state PD), and the U.S Virgin Islands PD or the Guam PD
To serve and protect is not their purpose. See Supreme Court decision brewer.
You should do a video over Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston PD. Houston has a very elite SWAT unit you should cover them at the very least

How often do these same police agencies do cross over work with their military counterparts, especially when it comes to counterterrorism or armed offender call outs that requires SWAT or a equivalent team? As I know that the New Zealand Police Special Tactics Group trains with the Counter Terrorism section of the NZSAS.
