      No they are not. There's not a single phone on the market that has realistic skin tones they are all way off. The way to understand this is to shoot with a DSLR and you'll understand how off they all are in this sector.. :)

    The more I see, the more I disbelieve the hype around the S22U. It has a solid camera right at the top-end, as you would expect at the mega-price, but it does not raise the game and is evolution rather than game-changing. Certainly from what I saw here the Pixel matches and maybe comes out with a slight advantage, so the S22U is probably about how much more you are willing to pay for that 10X zoom if the cameras are the deciding factor? Personally, the Pixel 6 Pro is an easy choice even taking into account the pre-order deals, the Pixel had better than Samsung. Testing both at the moment and the S22U like the Pixel 6P at launch is very laggy with poor RAM management. The Pixel is now much better than when released. Easy win for the Pixel in the here and now.

    • @LosBlancoo
      @LosBlancoo 2 года назад +11

      You refer to the pixel as being better now whilst acknowledging it being worse off at release yet you don't seem willing to afford that opportunity to the S22U..Even at present the pixel 6 has issues.
      The pixel devices will never be as good as Samsung's flagships unless something changes drastically. The S22U just like it's predecessors is the true android flagship/representative.
      After a few updates it will crush the pixel in just about every area.

      It's laggy probably because you've been testing the exynos version out which has been getting a lot of bad reports about performance issues. The processing chip in the pixels (tensor) or whatever it's called is closer to exynos but probably not quite as bad. I however live in the U.S an have a snapdragon S22U that runs like a dream. An all I paid for it was $355 after trading in my Note 10+ not a bad deal at all.

    They are almost identical, with each producing better pictures in different situations. The Pixel's software often has more sharpening. However, I think the S22 Ultra's photos were slightly better in most cases.
    Also, in most cases the S22 Ultra is recording a LOT more information than the Pixel is. That is why it is just slightly slower than the Pixel. This of course depends on the setting.

    It's quite impressive that the tiny sensor on the 3x zoom on the S22U can keep up with the bigger sensor on the 4x of the pixel. Samsung must be doing a lot of Ai stuff behind the curtain. On the other had pixel can match the 10x on sammy with a 4x lens. It's really tuff to choose, samsung's one UI is great, build quality is superb, their portrait mode is crazy good. But Pixel still takes better shots in most scenarios. It can pull out so much detail. I think Samsung will compare better with the standard S22 against the standard Pixel 6. The Pixel is technically cheaper, but from Samsung i get 200 Eur for an old broken phone, 200 Eur extra and free galaxy buds pro. It's impossible to ignore Samsung's deals.

    Both phones are crap in low-light video. Aside from that and some excessive sharpening happening on the Samsung side, they are both decent for phone photography. Although I'm not sure if it is worth it to get either solely for photography as you can simply get a mid-range phone and an actual entry level point and shoot or mirrorless Camera with a kit lens for close to the price of the S22 Ultra.

    I'm sorry to say but your comparison is somehow biased towards Pixel 6 Pro. We all know how good Pixel 6 Pro is after the updates (it was plagued with many problems at the beginning) but you consistently presented shots that didn't flatter the phone or just happened to be mediocre shots.Let me give you my perspective as a day 1 owner of S22 Ultra who has played several days with Pixel 6 Pro. It has way better dynamic range than you presented and more realistic rather than looking sometimes artificial like the Pixel 6 Pro does which is overdoing it at times with the shadows/highlights, portraits are way more detailed and with better edge detection from both rear and front camera than what you presented. Also you didn't shoot with 108Mp camera which will give you crazy crops and detail but you tried to show that in crops Pixel 6 Pro consistently retains more detail.. It also has much better video than you presented, macro mode and can shoot raw 16bit let alone the fact that you didn't even show how good 10x is with your shots, if I only show your shots I'd say 10x in S22 Ultra is just ok..It's not. It's by leaps and bounds the best I've seen up to 30x. You also talked about the camera options which lag but for instance at S22 Ultra but not once you mentioned the fact that Pixel 6 Pro does take forever to take a shot once you press the shutter button especially at night, that can lead to blurrier photos or simply becomes annoying.
    You didn't try to highlight some of S22 Ultra strengths in comparison rather than the weaknesses and as much as I'd like to believe that you didn't do it on purpose, unfortunately I can't.. I would have concluded otherwise if I was a candidate to buy one of these two if I have only seen your review. I'm not trying to bash or descredit your work but reviews like these don't help people but rather confuse them and lead them to wrong conclusions. Imagine also that this is with the first patch and not with the updates Pixel 6 Pro has taken already. It's ok to like Pixel 6 Pro better one can easily choose it over S22 Ultra but please try to make reviews that tend towards more essential and objective feedback

    • @danielsin
      @danielsin  2 года назад +10

      Nah I do these comparisons doing regular day to day life things and only use auto mode. I don’t push for little details because I rather target the causal consumer. They don’t care about the 108 MP and all that stuff. I point and shoot in auto mode throughout my day. And show side by side what I get. I’m not pushing anything towards to the pixel. If you want a more detailed review on what is better than what then you can find another reviewer who focuses more on those specific topics and features. Most casual people would turn on the camera and hit the shutter. That’s what I’m basically doing.

    • @d4ydr33m3r
      @d4ydr33m3r 2 года назад

      @@danielsin Using the 108Mp which is the actual sensor and an integral part of the stock camera is not an automated process? Why binned 12Mp is and not 108Mp? You mean to tell me a guy who pays top dollar for S22 Ultra will not shoot in many instances with 108Mp and/or use pro mode for example to take it even further? Now I didn't ask you to shoot pro mode, I completely grasp the meaning of "point and shoot" but saying 108Mp is not automated is wrong. Especially when you try to point out detail retrieval in captures. And this is the versatility of S22 Ultra cam.
      Anyway the S22 Ultra user is not your typical iPhone user my friend neither an Android user who gets a much cheaper android phone and is casual. It's the Samsung Note user.. And the vast majority of casual users will not use S22 Ultra. It's too bulky and awkward for them, they will definitely prefer to go with something more trendy.. Those users typically exist in Apple ecosystem fyi.. Not in Android world. When they exist in Android world they usually don't go for flagships, those who are casuals and want to showoff they go iPhone all the way.. Maybe Pixel also lately. But this "point and shoot" mentality is simply wrong you are not talking to kids here but rather tech savvy guys of android universe..
      Anyway let's not get into this any further, I think I understood what I wanted here. Have fun
      p.s A small tip would be not to answer this way if you want subs.. I know very well where to look and after years of experience I think I know how to spot biased content.. ;)
