This is No Man's Sky Survivor! I will be starting a brand new playthrough on the survival difficulty in No Man's Sky. The survival difficulty has some changes including limited inventory, higher refuel and recharge costs, more aggressive enemies and upon death your inventory will be destroyed. I generally play normal mode in No Man's Sky so let's see how far I get in Survival mode.

I really hope they add the ability to own a pirate freighter at some point, finally be able to fulfill the dream of being a full-on pirate.
Would love to get a new one if we could only own more then 1 Freighter spent to much time on finding a S class then maxing out the inventory slots 😢😢😢
@CoolGuy7159 Totally agree!! Way too much time spent customizing my S class to just trade it off. Being able to own, at minimum, 3 freighters would be great.
Same, also hoping they add battles where both freighters are fighting, not just the pirate one shooting the civilian ship along with dog fights around the battle (still grateful for what we got tho)
I’ve always wanted to be able to captain my freighter about. Sit on the bridge as my freighter engages in space battles. I wanna be a fleet commander lol, not always have to hop in my fighter to solo everything while my freighter and 30 frigates watch.

It’s a cool update, but what I really want is fleet battles where you can take your freighter, 30 escort frigates, and squadron pilots into a battle versus a pirate fleet. That honestly the only thing I’m waiting for
I agree, why do I need this complication of the battle if my fucking cruiser is hanging and just taking hits? Why can only one player сan damage this fucking pirate ship?

I really wish we could conquer that dreadnaught. That design is beautiful. And it would be awesome to have a large combat ship rather than an armed merchant ship. Imagine being able to add modules to it like extra anti sheild cannons or larger artillery or a large hanger. Would be awesome. But regardless this update is awesome!

Having your freighter be ambushed upon entry would be neat. It'd give you personal stakes, if your freighter gets damaged enough, it engages in emergency jump and most of its modules get damaged.
@AAhmou if your planet side you could get an alert like you frigate needs to return, or your settlement is under attack saying your dreadnaught is under attack. After leaving the atmosphere, you could use an emergency jump drive to jump its location, but it wreaks your hyper drive to do it.
@@questionmark05 Would be annoying. When your settlement is under attack you can just ignore it for any amount of time before you get in the mood to fight drones. But freighter is being used constantly. That's like exploring a planet with frequent pirate raids but you can even get your freighter damaged if you don't join the battle right away.
Considering they now have massive pirate dreadnoughts, with dedicated weapons against capital ships, it makes me wonder if we'll actually be able to own one of those in a later update, which i would LOVE, like using your freighter as more than just a portable storage and hangar, that can actually fight enemies and help take down larger ships
Maybe they will even find more ways to bring capital ship combat to the game, maybe even a different class of freighter, like a Dreadnought that has the same massive weapons and torpedoes the pirate ones have
Randomly got into one of these battles last night and holy hell it was a blast! I barley started to play a week ago so the civilians hit absolutely destroyed lol . I was no help
Interesting...u can actually recrute pirate frigates now also, when busting a pirate Dreadnought , go inside the sheilds, Bust the engines Then take out the main canons so ur able to save the civilians. Then deal with the sheilds and finish off the Dnought

Not sure if anyone has run across this issue but after the echoes update everything ran fine for me then there was a hot fix today which deleted my best multitool and the game freezes if you try to scrap any of the new multitools
it was painful to watch you not destroy the torpedos
All the need to add now is some sort of personal drednought

I wish there were tranches with weak targets in it to make the cool ass visual of speeding through the trench blowing up something. Like in Chorus for example
So the purge and a trace of metal missions need to be finished for sure I spent all day trying to figure it out. I also heard something about the harmonic camps but I'm having trouble finding that info again
draudnaught fights are one of the hardest fight since one still can faile.
In space combat usually on Rescue theres always one enemy fighter left with a completly invunerable shield,its not regenerating its just not taking any damage & I dont understand what Im supposed to do with them I can find any tech that disabkes their shield or anything so I dunno.

I imagine this is going to make getting a S Class Dreadnought freighter a real pain for new players or new play throughs.
the fuel rods are delayed so you have to do 2 runs on each side but everybody just waits for them to pop i think if they do it so when you destroy them all then they pop it would be better

Unlucky I guess. I got it after 2 warps.
Kinda freaked me out at first, cause I wasn't expecting it and thought I was gonna bump in to the Space Station.
Does anybody else have an issue with the neutron cannon or the javelin not charging? The only way I can get it to charge is to press melee and fire at the same time. It seems to be broken on my end.
How does the expeditions work? I've played once one expedition I didn't quite get it.
ermm not sure what you mean how they work. You just start a new save do what you need to do in the expedition finish it then collect your phase rewards and you can then get them from the quicksilver vendor on any save.
@@rupertbear4447 ooooh no I get it. I thought there was no wai to bring the reward to my main save. And can I replay preview expedition?
@@OBryanAguiar you can play the current expedition if there is one as many times as you like but you only need to do it once. Then once you have finished, the final rewards will be available to any main save (you can convert an expedition save into a main one once finished)
Sean Murray, if you're listening, please let me live out my Han Solo fantasies by letting me become a space pirate smuggler in this game.
Do the same to Sentinels (a new Sentinel Freighter Boss design, and Sentinel frigates),
...and improve frigate playability (one starship space per frigate, people on frigates - like mini-settlements, maybe frigate guns that can be yours or hostile...)

Hey Jason I completed the auto phage storyline yesterday but you need to beat the artimies storyline and you need to have a settlement to get the questline
And have broken the seal on at least one harmonic camp

@@bryanquinones2051 grab a settlement map on any spacestation, pop it and it will lead you to a random one. the rest will be odvious with what you need to do feom there

@@bryanquinones2051Go to a cartographer vendor on any space station and buy the settlement maps and activate it on any planet to get started
Hi iv had the same prob. but iv found away to get the ball rolling go to Polo and ask for the atlas station coordinates ok.
I have been testing and i think the Devs have changed to freighter spawn rate; what i mean is prior to this update if you wanted an S class Freighter you just have to trigger the battle at an outlaw system, and keep reloading untill you got one...
I tried now and they were ALWAYS C Class ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Lucky i did my farming and got my S class Venator class, but sucks for new people, or if i want the dreadnought design more. Hopefully we get a new way to get those
Is it linked to a system's economy type? Or maybe one system will always be locked to a specific class for that freighter?
Unless you mean any system, which might also be a bug

After the most recent patch, all of my Expedition rewards and quicksilver items are locked, and the construct is gone. I have never missed an expedition. I’ve already submitted a ticket and emailed Hello Games but so far no dice. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do?
For me, i just clicked on everything to claim the expedition items
All the ones who said "available" or something could just be taken by clicking on em
@@CrispyMuffin2 Normally they say available, but now they just say locked and when I try to get them it says not yet earned. This is so frustrating

Dreadnought attacks replace normal pirate raids. You don't need to go to pirate system, just wait the usual cooldown and warp anywhere.
I've still gotten in a normal pirate raid.
@@calebbridges4748 Probably not all raids contain a dreadnought or there's some condition to start getting them. I've got dreadnoughts on both my saves and I tried reloading and warping to different systems.

You have to finish the main story to get the new quests.
Nope - done it and not finished main story. Just warped into a Korvax black hole system and got it on first warp. I had not been to pirate system or destroyed anything.
I’m not sure how the new freighter battles work but if you get the pirates to run away and save the civilians doesn’t it give you the civilian freighter for free?
alll pirate system has chance to trigger them and at war system that is also a chance.
u have to go to another galaxy to trigger it. me and a few of my friends had to do it that way cant be in the starting galaxy

How get a settlement
You can get a settlement map from the cartographer in a space station might want to get a few and there are usually several settlements on a planet so shop around for the best one.
I don't see one of those for some reason
@@bryanquinones2051 What a cartographer or the map? if it's the cartographer when you exit your ship in the station go left side where the trade terminal is he will be the last on the right. As for the map it's the 5th one down from the top.
Cartographer also be more efficient for the map loaction

i have been warping around for hours trying to find a battle like this. been to multiple pirate systems. your guide isn't correct.
Don't quote me on this but I think the pirate battles are just random like the normal freighter battles warp 5 times into any star system and cross your fingers.
