    2nd middle on the back row must be replaced by libero...

      the libero doesn't have to replace a player. Its true the libero usually switches out with middle blockers when they're in the back, but its not imperative.

    I would like to know your thoughts on using the other service order, that is, with the setter following the outside hitter rather than the middle hitter; in 5-1 and also in 6-2. I came to think of these two variants as being either "natural" in the front row, or "natural" in the back row (as you have them in this video). Thanks for the clearly illustrated and calmly narrated video!

    Around 3:40 you should have the Power player and the opposite player switch to their based defense by switching sides....

      Agree, that would be the first option, we left the power on the right side on rotation 1 to give the younger players the opportunity to play different positions. Cheers!

    Why would setter on the first rotation for serve receive be away from the net

      Good question. Numbering the rotations is just a way to keep the rotations in order, but you can decide to have your team to start on any of the rotations where the setter is in the front court, you could also re-number your rotations if your team starts with the setter at the front, the important part of the video is to show how the players move in each rotation. Cheers

      Because having a back row setter would allow there to be an outside hitter, middle hitter, and a right-side hitter. aka more options for an attack.

      But to answer the question, that front row player must be a good passer, so you want her in serve receive. Otherwise, push her up to net and have setter at the net. Bring another front row player (better passer) back to receive.

    Can you please explain who sets a ball if, for example, ball goes to the setter and he receives it? Thanks.

      in youth VB There are 3 scenarios, 1) The coach can designate a secondary setter, normally it would be the opposite player who is on the right side, but in rotation 1 it would be the power as he is on the right side already 2) If the team is playing with a Libero, this player will get the second ball - just remember that the libero can only forearm pass in the front court, check the libero video in this channel and 3) if the pass is not controlled, then the player in better position will get the second ball. Communication is critical and all the players need to know who is the secondary setter and be ready. Cheers!

      Then that means the setter will yell setter out and they would have to play without the setter

      Usually the libero

      ready to attack

      The opposite hitter is usually a main attacking force in a team. If they're forced to receive the ball, their attack timing could be thrown off.

    А можно при первом розыгрыше игроков сдвинуть ближе к сетке как в растановке когда связка в 5 зоне?

    • @RicoCoachV
      @RicoCoachV  2 года назад

      yes you can, normally the player in zone 4 can move a bit closer to the net to allow the setter to get into position faster, you would need to be careful with serves targeting zone 5
