In America, whenever I introduce friends to the sound of the suona, they call it obnoxious. When played soft and smoothly, it really does sound like mournful singing to me, and when its played with more energy it has such a unique impactful sound! I'm honestly in love with it. It really deserves more recognition in music.
I have been knocked over by the wonderful skill of all these musicians. I have never heard or seen instruments like and I can't understand how as a music lover of over 50 years I've never came across this remarkable music. There's one thing for sure I'll be listening to a hell of a lot more of it. I'm totally mesmerised by it all. Truly fascinating.
If this magic is a taste of things to come then I can't wait. I hope I'm not too old to experience more Chinese wonders. My only concern is that this music will get more and more westernised and loose it authenticity. I hope not.
Duan Lei I can't stop listening to this whole concert since I discovered it while rummaging about RUclips. Indeed , I think this aspect of RUclips is the most rewarding i.e. It makes you aware that there are other cultures than the one you are brought up in. 羞於看自己的演出視頻，是因為總是有遺憾。我很敬佩那些十分完美的演奏家比如：劉英和戴亞老師等，他們在舞台上從來沒有瑕疵。其實道理很簡單，一切都是功夫，像我這類不安分守己的人可想而知。不過這個《山鄉春》的視頻還比較滿意，畢竟是我當年考中央音樂學院時的看門曲，儘管是音樂會臨時改上《山鄉春》，虧得還有童子功頂住。感謝新竹青年國樂團！感謝指揮劉江濱！與你們一起玩很開心，當我展示那麼多吹管樂器的時候，一種莫名的幸福感，整個人就像經過了一次洗禮。

最重要的話沒有說，那就是要感謝我的恩師王高林老師！雖然我在考中央院之前只跟王老師上了一堂課，但是，我初學嗩吶之時，一直是自學王老師的曲子，應該說王老師是影響我最早的恩師。值得一提的是，自從我考學走出山西之後，王老師也很快成為向全國音樂院校輸送嗩吶人才最多的嗩吶教育家。 我吹的《山鄉春 》完全是模仿老師的韻味，王老師在1982年，全國匯演中以《山鄉春》獲得一等獎。1990年，我在嗩吶專輯《中國嗩吶》中第一次收錄了此曲，《山鄉春》也逐漸受到音樂學院嗩吶學生的青睞。

绵延不断的田野，曲折前行的小路，一望无际平原，这是故乡的味道。
這個演奏視頻是我的大舅分享給我聽的，
越聽越有味道。
從一開場營造出來就是一片豐饒的平原，
再從遠處的青山翠嶺，
畫面一下子再拉近到一個農村裡，
很有70年代農村生活篳路藍縷的生活艱澀感，
胼手胝足，日出農作，日落而息，教養子女，
用以艱澀知足而平靜地，
演繹著山村裡的生活樣貌。
最令人醉心的是曲到中途，用幾於落幕的結尾的音調，
再轉起農收冬藏慶豐收的節慶氣氛，
從而把平時艱辛的情緒拋諸腦後，
讓人有撥雲見日的喜悅感，
圓滿的結束整個故事性的演奏。
郭雅志老師真的不簡單，
用嗩吶這樣大鳴大放的樂器，
表達出這樣深邃的情感，
細膩而悠長。

他是科班出身的。民间现在吹唢呐的少了。往回溯三十年，民间的高手太多了。以前能同时吹两支唢呐不同调的几乎每个县都能找到几个。毕竟是中国最普及的乐器了。
