I have always heard YMG in Broadcast's sound. I am positive that Trish liked these guys, it is sad that there was not enough time to check out all her influences.
I've spent the last 18 months listening to BC , Melody's Echo Chamber is Filling in for Trisha while i rest From there catalogue Meanwhile YMG rounding things out all cool Bands xx
Great to see this, I've been listening to this album for over 40 years now. Still sounds brand new. But sorry to be pedantic, wasn't Something Else on ITV, not BBC?
@Addickted toCharlton I was part of the programme and was there throughout the rehearsals and recording. They were completely live in the studio and what was broadcast was exactly what was recorded at the time. I'm not a fan of theirs but they did do this performance live with no backing tracks of any kind.
Amazing songs, amazing band, and perfectly ice-cool vocal delivery. What else can I say except "Wow!".
Songs are : N.I.T.A. and Wurlitzer Jukebox
I was there.
Blessed
Fair to say Broadcast owed a lot to this band? Broadcast were amazing on their own right as well obviously

Nope. I was there during recording, they were live.
@@kerinsian8844 May have had a pre-recorded version stuck over the top of the live vocals.
