Im dissapointed that we didnt got a set with the jade emperor. But I think we'll have to wait for the next big set next year
I hope he get the palace door and front wall and then the throne and then the jade emperor and azure lion and maybe 2 celestial warriors and adult nezha (and maybe some other minifigures if that’s not enough for a big set which is like £90 or something)
I wish this came with a cape cuz in the show this isn’t a mech, it’s a sized up Azure Lion and I also think a cape would’ve done wonders for the aesthetics
This is not bad, I think we should get more animal-based mechs like this.
The build looks cool, but I'm a little underwhelmed. Maybe if I didn't already have Azure Lion from the ultra mech it would be more enticing. I do appreciate how it's seemingly a reference to the original story though, as the lion grew massive in an attempt to devour Sun Wukong, but had his insides beaten up instead. The demons of Camel Ridge are just another villain of the week squad originally though (with the Peng being the leader if I remember correctly, he could square up with wukong somewhat evenly), Monkie Kid did a good job at turning them into actually important characters.
Peng didn’t just square up to the monkey king , he managed to defeat him
I wish MK came in his power-up suit because that's what he wore when he went monkey demon mode on the Azure Lion. I also kinda wish the monkey demon face had a cocky smile because mk was smiling like a menace in that fight.
That set is so freaking cool, I’m for sure going to get it.
I really like this mech, the small waist allows kids to hold it quite easily but I think it would be easy to modify

It's kinda funny looking at this set in hindsight after the Emperor's Wrath special came out.

I didnt get macaques mech, but glad I have a second chanse to buy a big monkey kid mech with awesome minifigure colection.
The chest piece is using Invasion from Below windscreen piece in azure and I believe the eyes are a new print

That is not an azure color it is teal color, there's a difference
I do wish monkie mk had a new hair piece. With the side burns and headband. Like macaques but with a headband

I like the colour in person on the LEGO site and other retailers the images don't do it justice the lifestyle images are what you need to be looking at, the set looks striking but not too bold. This set along with the Larger Ultra Monkey king Mech and Mei's Guardian Dragon look fantastic these may be the sets i finally get from Monkie kid everything prior i just haven't been in too.
I love the Head and the hair/fur texture they managed to capture the torso/chest i like the shaping of but the articulation in the legs is poor the Titan mech line from Ninjago is far better and should be standardised across all themes with larger mech builds.
I wanr this set soo bad😭 i dont have the money at all though
