That young man in the buckeyes shirt in the very beginning is the most adorable young fellow I have ever seen. I was thinking about exploding the whole world today, but when I saw that beautiful face, I decided not to. Whoever you are, wherever you may be, I love you.

The character arc of the boy in the Buckeyes shirt is actually kind of genius. As you can see at 0:08, he begins to put a sandwich into his lunch bag. As many people have noted, the actor for this character is Oliver Fall. A little unknown fact about him is that he is actually the middle child of his family. This sandwich reference is clearly a metaphor for how he feels stuck as the middle child. His somber look down into the bag may seem unimportant, but if you were to look into his backstory, the truth is that the boy is 6 foot 7 and he has been struggling with super cool person disease for his whole life. His look of mysterious sadness is proof of the impact it has had on his life. At 0:12 when he walks across the screen, they show how he is beginning to change. His demeanor is almost threatening, showing that he has come to terms with himself. He is a man surely out for blood and nothing else. As he leaves at 0:30 , it shows his change. Him leaving is symbolic of him leaving his old, bloodthirsty ways behind. He is entering a new phase. Him stepping outside at 0:31 is symbolic of him stepping from out of his old confines and entering a new world, a new self. His story is truly one of inspiration and he is so cool and tall.

WOW!! Why isn't the songwriter and singer/band listed here? The song is A+. I was born in Port Clinton in 1951 and now live in Florida, and when the song started it gave me goose bumps and I teared up. There is really nothing like a home town. Even though most of the video sights are not familiar to me since we moved away in 1959, the visual of Lake Erie, where I learned to swim, and the beaches really touched me. LOVE that sweet little town. At one time we had dozens and dozens of relatives, stemming from the Molnar and Hermes families. My heart goes out to Port Clinton!! Becky Molnar Pollitz

This is a really nice video & song. I’ve never been to Port Clinton but my Dad was born & raised here. He’s passed on but he was such a great guy. I’m guessing growing up in Port Clinton gave a lot to his wonderful character. Thinking of you Dad when I watch this video. Rest easy, Lanny Evan Streeter. Miss you

Tourist here, tear down the port clinton light house, its not a light house its like a funny little kids version of a lighthouse. It was recommended that we visit it, we're from bar harbor, we were confused when we saw it. Just tear it down or rebuild something nice. Id be embarressed if this thing was in my town and listed as something to see. Also get some restaurants in this town, theres like 3 places to eat and nothing to do except wait for the jet express boat.

Hi Joel, I'm guessing you are talking about the "lighthouse" that is in downtown Port Clinton, which is most certainly not a real lighthouse and it just a structure put in as part of the park. The person who recommended it to you was probably talking about the actual lighthouse in Marblehead, just outside of PC, which has been a big attraction for many years. www.marbleheadlighthouseohio.org/
As for restaurants/things to do, I hear you, the off-season here can be brutal. You came just a few weeks too soon. The Summer season essentially kicks off Memorial Day weekend with the Walleye Festival. Downtown is now bustling. All the restaurants are open, and there are some relatively new ones that have amazing dishes. There are patios and live music everywhere. Part of our Main Street in downtown is now blocked off through September and it is full of outdoor seating, bars, and picnic tables, with a big stage set up by Live Nation that has local and national acts 5 nights a week.
Sorry your trip was disappointing. I moved here 5 years ago after living in Austin and Denver all my life. Needless to say, it was an adjustment, but I've watched this town come alive over the past few years and now that I know about all the gems that exist here, it will always be a place I call home (at least for part of the year!).
      Cheers,
      Jen
