Excellent interview! Jimmy must have been a scary chap in the old days, he's still got an aura and presence about him now. Really interesting chat there.
@@Cbiz505 he was talking about years ago, yarde would whoop his ass but not when Jimmy was talking about. Get the full contac before reacting bro, be more stoic
@@Cbiz505 I'm not saying I think he could beat them back then either. Even fighting groves at sm when bjs was in his prime would of been dangerous. Quality fight thinking back on it
Going up to LH so he can stay on the pies instead of training and get one more payday to buy more pies. Brittle hands and lazy means no punch power and no stamina. Canelo broke his face imagine what Anthony Yarde would do to him let alone Beterbiev who would end him.
I always find the BJS worship a bit odd. Certainly he was a great fighter but Jimmy claiming he'd have beaten any UK light heavyweight might have left Callum Smith and Anthony Yarde a bit confused, neither of whom I believe he'd have beaten. And people never miss the chance to insult Chris Eubank Jnr (quite understandably to certain extents) despite the fact an extra round would have seen him despatch BJS. To be dominated in the second half of a fight by an inexperienced and, as we now know, somewhat questionably skilled fighter, yet be considered better than any UK light-heavyweight of the time, is straining at credibility.
Absolute legend of the game enough respect for Jimmy 💙
Jimmy’s book "Sparring with life" is a terrific read. I highly recommend it to all boxing fans.
Top class 👌
Just ordered it after reading your comment 👍🏻
