That is not the issue here, the issue is the migration of people being sent here from southern states and that immigrants are being used as pawns for political purposes. If the migrants were placed in jails and kids were being separated from parents the people would be up in arms complaining, it happened already under the previous president. It is an influx of people entering the country and the southern states just don't want to deal with it any more. So, send a message to your city council, hold a rally at their location, request to have the city be removed from sanctuary status, request to have the governor call this an Emergency State so that the migrants can be sent to other areas and not just NYC. The Governor is NOT doing her JOB.

We are struggling a lot over here too Vancouver and Toronto rent is crazy. We’ve been having higher rates of unemployment throughout the whole country, but our country is still accepting asylum seekers, more immigrants and international students in large quantities. It’s absolutely insane that this is happening and its just ripple effects in every situation in the country including our education system too.

I am a European and I have been in the US since 2015. My American wife does not make enough money to qualify for my green card sponsorship. I am fathering an American step-son, yet I am not afforded the privilege of working for money. How are these new migrants getting work permits when I can't provide for my family?
They don't care about the ones who pay their taxes and work to pay for services. We just need to deal with that. I barely afforded my greencard and other immigration fees but that doesn't matter now.

Yup these ppl are what I called thrashers they weren’t taught to repsect city laws like no loitering. These ppl for some reason don’t care about keep their streets clean ect. And everywhere they gather or live it becomes like where they come from what I can’t understand. Is if you left a trashy place for better why are you coming to a better place and trashing it. I’ve had a huge fight going with 2 units of my apt building that moved in 4 1/2 years ago. All they’ve done is torture us with loud music, drinking and being loud in front of building, peeing outside ect. So it makes coming and going from my apt feel so uncomfortable. They drink and drive while driving I literally pull up on the side of a bunch of them all the time at lights or stop signs. And they have huge beer bottles open just chugging them as they drive. We will look like the countries they come from soon I’ve been saying this online for the past 8 years. And I was called racist and a bigot too why cause we don’t want to live in a dirty and unsafe place like Mexico or El Salvador.

I’m from NY but no longer live in there but this isn’t just a problem in New York. The entire population where I live went from an average sized mixed population to a population that probably more than tripled in less than a year and is now 95% Mexican and Indian non English speakers. My school is so incredibly overcrowded and it keeps getting bigger with people who don’t even speak a lick of English. Not to mention that there isn’t enough houses here and the migrants that do get houses don’t even have to pay nearly as much as everyone else does. There is this story of this couple who come from Germany 15+ years ago and did everything they needed to become American citizens. They have a job, pay taxes, even had kids born in America, etc… Now they are being asked to go back to Germany. Why? My guess is to make room for the immigrants who get to walk into this country for free. There was also another situation where a Florida family took in and cared for an immigrant who they thought was a minor. It turns out he lied and wasn’t a minor and the immigrant murdered the entire family. These are the people who are getting let into the country for free. I can only imagine how exponentially the cartel presence here has increased.
Interesting story. I think cartels came in already to keep control over fentanyl. So many people make it and sell with out them. Heavy new organizations are being set up. Very strange town. Eagle Pass TX had over 2000 people come in on ONE DAY. And Eagle Pass has been forced to handle this for years. It's not a big city like NYC. When I hear NYC & Chicago complain, I just shake my head.

This is crazy, I’m fist generation but my parents came here legally and own their home I grew up in and run two businesses. They had a PLAN , they didn’t just come here to use the benefits like all these ppl.

it's such a shame. honestly, i had hope that maybe letting in asylum seekers and trying to reform them across the country so they could fit within society could maybe help a declining birth rate. However, when they're all going to just ONE city, or crammed into a few places, there's absolutely no way we can support them unless they're spread out.
I hope they can reform immigration so that they're not all stuck at the border, maybe focusing on educating them and hastening the bureautic process, which could help bolster the declining birth rate, pump up the tax base, and even help out with the job shortage shown in companies. I don't know much on the topic, but i'm hoping the next president (or biden... maybe not) can actually give a positive reformation to immigration, so it could possibly serve as an advantage for more workers country-wide, rather than more workers and residents in a few clustered spots.

Maybe if some progressive policies were reversed that defunded or stopped police from acting, focused on funding police and security for small businesses, and these immigrants were taught more about the country & the english language instead of just flooding them to a few single cities in droves.

well, now Texas is having a baby boom, mostly of minority children or illegal aliens. The poor of Texas are the ones that can not get birth control and abortions. I grew up in Texas and went to a majority hispanic school for part of my school years. They had issues with low test scores and keeping girls in school and not pregnant. Many girls stopped going by age 16 to have babies and got GEDs later.
The kids were doing so bad there, that simply making As and Bs meant you were “gifted and talented”.
Here’s how it plays out:
1. Parents of these students come from countries where they barely received an 8th grade education, and on top of that they don’t know much English.
2. When kids bring homework parents can’t offer much help because they can’t even read English and they have such a poor education themselves.
3. Because the immigrant children are so behind, the school has to slow things down to accommodate them.
4. This means the non immigrant students are given schoolwork that is under their grade level, that provides no challenge.
5. They are then placed in AP classes or gifted and talented programs simply because they’re performing at their grade level.
🤦🏻♀️ this is the dumbing down of the United States.

I think he ment coming back to a classroom where no one speaks English, not the diversity. Also this is going to more likely hit the lower income areas rather then the private schools, more then likey have a huge impact on the quality of education as the student to teacher ratios are going to be devastating. Also, if you listen closely they are only adding ESL teachers and benefits for the new students which is very unfair the current students. This will create a poor learning environment, and ultimately contribute to a poverty cycle.

I am currently staying in a shelter in NYC (after being assaulted and illegally evicted despite paying $1,200/month to rent a room. INSANE story).
The shelters have posted up signs saying "Asylum seekers: beware of incorrect information on socia media and from human traffickers. NYC resources have been exhausted. Asylum seekers are getting letters to move out of shelters. You will not be placed in a hotel. NYC is one of the most expensive cities in the world; you are better off going to a more affordable city. NYC cannot help you obtain a work permit and you will not be able to easily find work." Then there is a map of the US with arrows pointing to other states.
This is so insane to personally witness.

What I’m upset about is that there is a long list of folks who applied to come here legally and has paid a lot of fees and are just waiting for an interview and medical in their home country. The US claim they are backed up on those cases, how? But all these money from our taxes are going to to everything else but our interest. I’m not against migrants coming here, but it seems like the resources for the things we pay of taxes for are getting ignored. All the attention is on migrants.

I know a few teachers and they say they can't properly teach American kids due to having to teach kids that can't speak English.
Being a NYC resident for over 40 years, this is the worst I’ve seen. The migrant crisis doesn’t only effect the migrants looking for housing, work, education etc. It also effects us new Yorkers. Our funding has been cut for many city agencies, making difficult to serve the increase in population of poor in New York. Many agencies are understaffed and the resources available have added restrictions. Now COVID is back, lots of talk about Trump, no resources, inflation…..and now due to the lack of funding they are merging agencies. Makes u want to pick up and leave. This is getting ridiculous.
A relative of mine's, born and raised here in the US and worked all her life, when unfortunate circumstances came about, she became a single parent of two boys with Autism. She applied for Food Stamps and was denied. Now these illegals come and get Housing, Health Insurance, Foodstamps. HECK NO!

This is happening here in south Carolina and my kid is saying that the language barrier is holding the entire class back because of the extra help or attention these kids require. It's not fair at all!! If you want to enroll them then put in ela teachers who are fluent in both languages to bring them up to where they need to be.

The problem is the shortage of ESL and language teachers in general. He goes into that in the video. Teachers barely make enough to live in New York City to begin with. Specialty teachers are probably in high demand but low supply. If the situation continues I imagine that will change or they will start adding other languages to all the reading material like they have done a lot of here in Chicago.

Here in Texas this has been going on for years. Migrants have been coming into our cities taking up school resources that are supposed to be for our children and also taking all the jobs. Most american men in construction around here cant work because all the jobs are gone or competition does the work for way cheaper under the table. My area had to build 5 new schools just this year! The traffic is crazy, they dont follow the traffic laws, nor the zoning/ property laws. Migrant neighbors around here shoot guns right next to other properties with less than an acre between them! Police cant even arrest them. A migrant hit us in a truck he was driving, didnt have a license nor insurance and the cop couldnt do anything. Didnt even write him a ticket. This country is done. New york is just the current state where people are hearing about this. Its going on in Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Arizona, california, and its coming to a city near you. No more entry level jobs for anyone to include our kids when they get older and need jobs, no more construction jobs, over capacity schools and cities. The only state that has stopped them from working under the table with actual laws and enforcement is florida. At least they care about their citizens. Our politicians do not care about the American people.
