And Yet where still waiting for a battlefront 3 for over 13 years at least the original battlefront fans from 2004 and 2005. The fans expect if a battlefront 3 ever comes •ground to space combat •Big hero and villain roster •a campaign set in the clone wars and during Order 66 Galactic conquest •More Maps- I would love to have the Jedi temple or Coruscant again ,utapau. •More character types and armor types . I would love if we had 4 eras would be cool , old republic era , clone wars , galactic empire, and if they have to the trash Disney era.
Yea exactly, it why I never understood the people who say “I wonder what battlefront 3 would’ve been” when we pretty much can see exactly what it would’ve been through elite squadron
For something that was said to be 99% done, I would say it was 70% done. It's awesomely ambitious especially for it's time. It looks as finished as Cyberpunk said it was. Playable from start to finish, but lacking the more time of polish required to get out the jank and buggyness. i would love for them to be able to remake all of this. I'm sure there's a Battlefront being made right now. Be foolish not to make one.
yeah you maybe right but we don't really know if this was the latest build when that claim was made. This could have easily been an older build of the game with the latest never to be released to the public.
Yeah, I would be surprised if this was the final version of the game before its cancellation, especially since this was before the whole ''Release the game half finished then patch it out later'' trend became a thing. Don't hope on too much with a BF3 similar to the old ones being in development, at least not as an official title.
I’ve only just begun watching the video, and all I can think about is how you tried to saw the city in half (when trying to take out the turrets). So much damage, I don’t know if Phil Swift’s Flex Tape could fix it, lol. But good video, outstanding job. 😉👍💯⭐️
Alright, since half of the people who are commenting on this section are just very fucking poor knowlegde of what this video is about, I'm gonna clarify it. First, this "Battlefront 3" is not a sequel to DICE's Battlefront. This game is the original Battlefront 3 which was made as a sequel to the original battlefronts from the 2000s. This is one of the missions supposed to appear in the game. Second, this is a cutscene that is pre-made by the developers around 2008 testing, while they did claim that 99% of the game was finished, no material of the final build was released, which is why this looks very poor from a modern standpoint. Third, for those who complain this is not the Jango's Clone, they are literally not. They are secret clones made by the Kaminoans, using their template as the Jedi apprentice of Rahm Kota, Falon Grey. That explains why don't look like Jango Fett at all in matters. Come on people, is critical thinking and little resreach really have that much problem?
You nailed every point, except the fact that the game was rebranded and released as Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squardon on the PSP. So SWBF3 did exist, it just was locked to a handheld console, and thus had the graphical limitations of a console game (though, it had the ground space features that every other battlefront has lacked.
Both of you nailed it. They're not supposed to be Jango clones. I wish one day we get to see a game like this be given another chance with proper development and time.
@The Spam no one cares about the psp. Also, yes I already knew that, it's technically battlefront 3, but not really tho. those 2 games are just the remains of all the assets from BF3 and what could've been
@Tyler de Vries yeah I know, it's why I said they need to finish the last mile or 2 then release it. A dev recently confirmed it was almost done, and devs spoke out 10-15 years ago about it being about 90-95% done(and said the 'mile away' statement that I also said), just had a good month left to bug fix/optimize/patch/stabilize then the game would've been done
Yup, as soon as I heard X-2, I recognized the game: Elite Squadron, baybee! This was fucking awesome as a kid. Custom soldiers, transitioning between orbital and ground-based combat, the plot line, all of it was amazing.
Played through Elite Squadron on DS. Game play was ass obviously, but I definitely enjoyed the story elements, even if it was cut down. Plus Kota was also introduced here, so I cant complain. Beats the hell out of what we had received from EA's Battlefront campaign.
I remember watching the BF3 trailer as a child over and over and over again pumped for it’s released… such a shame they wasn’t able to complete it, I was heartbroken. I never understood why the two clones were different from the rest and honestly didn’t like the idea of that, but since then I’ve become more open to it. Definitely since the “Bad Batch” clone force 99 was introduced. I honestly feel and hope when or if the release of the reboot BF3 comes out, they take a few things out of the OG BF3 we never got to play.. EA or whoever makes the next BF3 if you read this, don’t let us down🙏🏾 Seamless Space to ground battles for the love OF GOD please!! Oh and that execute order 66 scenes was bad ass. The way that clone set the bomb and explain to x1 what they had to do then stepped back and covered his face was TO badass!! I’m happy I was able to see how it ended. I remember watching that scene over and over left on a cliffhanger wondering if the Jedi made it out alive or not.
Not how it works, this game was cancelled by Lucasarts far before Disney acquired it. Combined with Devs siphoning money and working on another disaster of a game Haze.
@@frankspranks2129also false 75% complete and the reason why it was canceled is that lucaarts loss confidence in them after they failed the major alpha milestone in August
To be fair this was pretty late in development with almost two and a half years of development behind it. Alot of the unpolished games you speak of like Kong: Skull Island are only as bad as they are because they were either a quick cash grab or were pushed out the door way before they were ready by someone other than the developers. Remember Big Rigs: Over The Road Racing? TL;DR what we got was essentially a pre-alpha of what was planned to be a much bigger game but the publishers wanted the game out immediately.
If you want to know, there is a game for the PSP called battefront Elite squadron, the campaign for that game is basically what this game was going to be, but since it got cancelled, they scrapped everything they could and made it for the psp instead. A shame, I would've loved to see this game make it to consoles. I kinda do agree though that X1 and X2 feel a bit odd in regards to their role in their star wars universe.
Just so everyone knows this is also from a game I played on PSP that was called star wars rouge one I believe. I cant remember it's been decades but it definitely looked way better than this If featured one of my favorite customization systems I've ever played. You can change the armor, color, and even the body type your character and army as a whole would wear, you could even have those massive clones who I only ever saw in Star wars episode 3 video game when you do survival. I loved this game but I'm not sure if they just rebranded Battlefront 3 to be Rouge one or what but this is still a great game Edit: the game is called Star Wars Elite Squadron and it tells the story of 2 clones created using Jedi DNA(X1 and X2) and as such would later manifest force abilities and even become full fledged Jedi and Sith respectfully. It shows them fighting during the clone wars and after Order 66 they begin having different opinions on the supposed traitorous Jedi and the rise of the Empire. Also, it is indeed the script for Battlefront 3 so if you want too, simply get a PSP or an emulator and download Star Wars Elite Squadron
@@battlefrontarchives it can't be a cut down version of something that never existed and was only in design phase. And although they say some parts were scrapped, the main story was still ported and it still contains all the bits of BF3 that would have been in a true Battlefront title
@@bamaboy5746 yeah sure, the uploader is himself working with the assets, but I guess you know better as someone who knows of the game very recently, I played Elite Squadron too, and have seen all the leaked content of BF3 since 2008 when the first footage of the preAlpha was leaked and can tell you too, Elite Squadron is overall a fraction of what BF3 was supposed to be, even the story lacks a lot of the parts of BF3, while telling the same story.
Ground to air to space combat, amazing customization, and and a story I can tell you about years after playing the game. Yeah I'm sure that a true Battlefront 3 would have been better but Elite Squadron literally is Battlefront 3s story laid bare. The main plot, antagonist, hero, and the impact they made on the post republic era is essentially the story. Regardless of it would have been released as Battlefront 3 or still has Elite Squadron, nothing is missing from the story transfer other than the spit and shine of a polished game.
@@bamaboy5746 I can agree that it was not bad for a psp game of that time, and overall fun, and used the overall story of BF3. The customisations is from Renegade Squadron though, although not the biggest fan of it; but better than not having it. It‘s quite engaging at first, but can become quite repetive, even compared to the console version of BF2, with lesser controls, less troops, more compact maps, less vehicles and turrets, let alone the moddable PC version, but better than the psp BF2 version. What stands out is obviously the space to ground conquest and campaign, compared to all previous battlefront releases and some little extras like melee attacks and combos. but BF3 overall would have been on a different level, the campaign and conquest still looks still more playable in BF3 apart from polished looks. you would have everything from BF2 PC except different maps, like bigger battles, more objects and more detailed maps with transitionless space to ground and more refined proper campaign.
I swear to God I played this on the psp back in the day. Kinda interesting story, don't remember if they were clones or not but it definitely ended with some sort of light and dark struggle at the end possible force sensitivity. A story of brothers and broken ties I guess?
Silly question, but is the boss fight with Ferroda a modded reconstruction using Elite Squadron’s as inspiration? Or is the playable fight from the unmodded leaked build? Don’t recall it on the build we always had, but it’s been forever.
@Falkrim Oh yeah, I've read the wiki about Free Radical. I just meant if it was a "recreation of the fight" as it happened in PSP, or if the existing build has it implemented already. (Which got answered)
I really wish this would have been a full fleshed out release. Looks even in this early development stage pretty cool. Instead we got the EA Star Wars Battlefronts games.
@kieranberry117 pretty good, more lore. Instead of Vjun or Bespin, there was Dathomir. Instead of a huge land battle with tanks and other vehicles, it was a battle against 4 classes of stormtroopers on outer facility platforms. X2 also has a blue saber Instead of green. No VA.

And Yet where still waiting for a battlefront 3 for over 13 years at least the original battlefront fans from 2004 and 2005.
One of biggest thing we want is ground to space combat still . it’s more than possible now , consoles limitations aren’t any excuse now, the ps5 and Xbox series X have the hardware to handle these types of things .
it’s not like ps3 era where pc was the only thing seen that can handle these things .
The fans expect if a battlefront 3 ever comes
•ground to space combat
•Big hero and villain roster
•a campaign set in the clone wars and during Order 66
Galactic conquest
•More Maps- I would love to have the Jedi temple or Coruscant again ,utapau.
•More character types and armor types .
I would love if we had 4 eras would be cool , old republic era , clone wars , galactic empire, and if they have to the trash Disney era.

No not the tragedy of Darth Lucas Arts the wise 😭
For something that was said to be 99% done, I would say it was 70% done. It's awesomely ambitious especially for it's time.
It looks as finished as Cyberpunk said it was. Playable from start to finish, but lacking the more time of polish required to get out the jank and buggyness.
i would love for them to be able to remake all of this. I'm sure there's a Battlefront being made right now. Be foolish not to make one.
agree
yeah you maybe right but we don't really know if this was the latest build when that claim was made.
Critical thinking? In _MY_ internet? 🤔
Damnit, I WANT THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!
Someone find and take the game, finish the last mile or 2 of the game left and then release it
It was 99 % done at the time

@The Spam no one cares about the psp.
Also, yes I already knew that, it's technically battlefront 3, but not really tho. those 2 games are just the remains of all the assets from BF3 and what could've been
@Tyler de Vries yeah I know, it's why I said they need to finish the last mile or 2 then release it. A dev recently confirmed it was almost done, and devs spoke out 10-15 years ago about it being about 90-95% done(and said the 'mile away' statement that I also said), just had a good month left to bug fix/optimize/patch/stabilize then the game would've been done

This would’ve been awesome if they released it!!
That X1 and X2 stuff is kinda goofy but it would have been interesting anyway. I really wonder what the final result of this game would have been.
bruh this was made in 2007 of course it is
If you want to know, there is a game for the PSP called battefront Elite squadron, the campaign for that game is basically what this game was going to be, but since it got cancelled, they scrapped everything they could and made it for the psp instead. A shame, I would've loved to see this game make it to consoles. I kinda do agree though that X1 and X2 feel a bit odd in regards to their role in their star wars universe.
Is it just me or does that Blue Jedi sound kinda like a more Scottish version of Magnus the Red from Warhammer TTS?
While I think the story sucks, it musta have sucked for the devs to know this game was pretty much done but company politics killed it
Nah the devs killed the game itself by underdelivering and making a shitty game called Haze.

What‘s atrocious about it?

Just so everyone knows this is also from a game I played on PSP that was called star wars rouge one I believe. I cant remember it's been decades but it definitely looked way better than this
If featured one of my favorite customization systems I've ever played. You can change the armor, color, and even the body type your character and army as a whole would wear, you could even have those massive clones who I only ever saw in Star wars episode 3 video game when you do survival. I loved this game but I'm not sure if they just rebranded Battlefront 3 to be Rouge one or what but this is still a great game
Edit: the game is called Star Wars Elite Squadron and it tells the story of 2 clones created using Jedi DNA(X1 and X2) and as such would later manifest force abilities and even become full fledged Jedi and Sith respectfully. It shows them fighting during the clone wars and after Order 66 they begin having different opinions on the supposed traitorous Jedi and the rise of the Empire. Also, it is indeed the script for Battlefront 3 so if you want too, simply get a PSP or an emulator and download Star Wars Elite Squadron
its not the same as elite squadron, es is a very very cut down version of bf3 it plays nothing like this version
Yeah you would have as Battlefront 3 was canceled and elements of the story made its way to the PSP version of Battlefront Elite Squadron
