Honestly I’m perfectly happy with mega Construx having the licenses for Halo. I even feel like the halo set designers do a better job than most LEGO Star Wars sets.
Lego Star Wars has the best sets, but some recent ones like the Coruscant Guard Gunship are a downgrade compared to the 2013 Republic Gunship due to barely any play features.

As much as I gotta admit that Lego has the best sets, mega blocks just fits halo better because of how much more authentic the figures and sets are. How the mega block figures are more articulated and the sets have a more accurate silhouette. It would be hard to make Lego have the needed detail for what it’s depicting
Don't forget the colours. 90% of Lego's colours are bright and plastic-y, whereas Mega has much more natural tones, more metallic colours, and even marbled pieces which mix multiple colours to create a camouflage or dirt effect. Just compare Lego's $600 "UCS" Razorcrest to the actual ship from the show, the colour is way off. Lego fanboys claim it would have been too expensive to make it silver, meanwhile Mega made a Cybertruck in full metallic silver and charged less per piece.
That diorama deserved being preserved in a public place / Halo museum for all to visit. It's an absolutely incredible dedication to Halo, and probably the best "marketing" I've ever seen. Any idea what happened to it?
@@skywardsoul1178 It was dismantled into smaller sections, portions were given away to various folks and other places I don't even know. Some pieces when on tour. But the top of the hill with Chief is on display at 343i studio's showroom to this day.

Completely agree. They even made a game with mega but it got cancelled. Mega in halo is very important as it holds collectors, animators etc… who all truly understand halo compared to the game devs.
A Mega Blocks Halo game would be very fun. Too bad 343 canceled it and instead we got two of the worst Halo games in existence, both Halo 5 and Halo Infinite.

I remember when Lego had like a set suggestion box in the early 2000s and id submit Halo so much I got a reply email explaining its a licensing issue. This is amazing though!

I like the Mega Halo sets. They do a really good job and honestly I like the posability of the Mega minifigures much better than the LEGO minifigures and you can get much more fun out of just that alone.

There was a scrapped Mega Bloks Halo game, you can find videos of it on RUclips. For an alpha it's a pretty decent "first slice". Damn I want that game.
The games graphics actually feels more real then what TTGames been giving us, it feels like straight off the LEGO Movie, don’t know Why LEGO couldn’t to that with their LEGO Movie games but you nailed it, and I love that it’s first person, something very different to what, Every LEGO games always tried to be!

Tbf the Megablox Halo sets are awesome. The mini figures are well-articulated and well-painted. I got the Warthog set and it has WORKING SHOCKS!
