i can do it too give me a cookie! i can also triplet on one foot, EITHER foot, give me TWO cookies. ima BIG dick boi EDIT: and for any drummers reading this, the trick i find to be for the hard hits with heel toe is to run low spring tension, and have ur beater out real long. you gotta find a balance, but it's there somewhere. i think it works cuz the weight of the beater acts like the resistance the springs would give, and the longer travel gives harder hits, and yet the low spring tension lets it bounce or something? idk. but it works for me. i just say this cuz "why not" and cuz everyone thinks they need crazy high spring tension when all that does is set ur ankles on fire. i can go brrrrrrrrr forever and with strong hits, on the cheapest pedals ($100 SP-pedals are OP, plz nurf).

I have only heard several of the bands at all and am not a big fan of the style of music but I love the heavy drums. That said I could clearly see there is something special about Chris Turner. It was not just fast and furious drum shredding. It was as if I was watching him trying to solve an impossible maths problem, progressing slowly but surely.
Tomas haake - Meshuggah playing bleed is still in my top 10 all-time drummers, an yes I understand this is a different genre, but man there are alot of greats. Like Jason bittner from shadows fall. Dude has 8+ championships for guitar center drum contest..
Aaron Kitcher has amazing and brilliant combos that no other drummer has, he is in his natural habitat when he plays the drums, he is naturally creative

Chris Turner is easily the best. He's the best by a mile frankly. This is the first time I've seen him and it's so easy to tell this dude is doing so much more than the rest. He's not just playing fast or skillfully, he's doing shit that is in another league rhythmically, and he's also insanely ambidextrous too. They're all good but he was the only one that really impressed me

These are all badass drummers but does anyone else wish songs had a little more simplicity behind the kit. Its like you hear one part thats super fucking heavy and they change it right away and never come back to it. I wish things in modern songs didnt have so many different parts to them
Cj Roberts you know, there is a whole lot of insight on the true nature of Rings of Saturn. From what I’ve been told, all of their guitars are tracked at half speed and their drummer sloppily trudges his way through at full speed, but everything is triggered so the drums get replaced with samples and then the engineer snaps it to the grid so it feels seamless. Definitely not worthy of the true professionals showcased on this list

Joshua Whitley I don’t know that the guitar tracking accusations were ever really well disputed, but you can watch Aaron’s playthroughs of the new album and imo it seems pretty legit
