The reason people send you songs like this in addition to upbeat songs is because life is not all about being upbeat. Life has ups and downs… break ups, loss, death, despair. I know that as boys/men we are not brought up to feel or express emotions, because it is thought of as being weak or not masculine. But you are a man now, so you are in charge of your own destiny. Let yourself be vulnerable, let it show, it will bring you mad respect plus it will be good for you personally. It is part of being human, to experience and to give in to these kind of emotions. It is not healthy to bottle them up or to try and harden yourself against them, because when a situation presents itself such as this, it may destroy you. You don’t have to cover your feelings with observations about how well the song is sung, which is obvious. The song and the video are a masterpiece of emotion, and respect should be paid accordingly. What is interesting is how this song is SO emotional ... and what is plain to see is how hard you are trying to keep your emotions in check .... which has the exact opposite effect and shows how emotional you got. This is one of those songs, sung by an exceptional singer that will do that every time you listen to it. You had the only reaction that one can have.
