I bet you enjoyed the Bentham to Slaidburn Road I also stop half way at the forest of Bowland sign at 18 minutes one of my favourite places to ride enjoy your next adventure happy camping
thanks Spud Spud, great name! Forest of Bowland I found by accident but will totally visit there again. Thanks ride safe & see you at my next adventure videos cheers
Instead of a large can of beans, maybe those small flavored tuna cans could make for road trip snacks? Also dried meats like beef jerky is always great... no need to worry about temperature of the meat.
Thanks Mohamed, I totally agree. Carried those cans on two trips and didn't use them once, they have been put in the 'useless' box now and won't be coming again :D Beef jerky sounds interesting, can I ask are you from the USA?
Also I'm not a biker, at least not yet. I'm a camper but I'm looking into getting a motorcycle and hitting the road that way which is how I found your channel ... the GPS review is where I started as a way to look into a possible kit.
@@mabdinur85 That sounds like such a cool thing to do, welcome to my channel. Hope I can help you through any questions you have. I started this channel to go on adventures more so I enjoy sharing and watching just the same. Hope Canada is looking after you
Lovely scenery through the countryside, thanks for sharing your adventures. I have been interested in buying a street twin of my own as of late, and since the 2019 and newer street twins have a digital RPM display, could you let me know what the RPM is at when riding 70mph? This info is something I have been unable to find online.
Very welcome, the 2019 model is worth the extra cash it makes it less of a beginners bike and more of a serious stand-alone motorbike. Sure! I'm going out on the bike all of this weekend so will get it up to 70mph and report back for you. Won't be a video but will add another comment below this
Hi RPM at 70mph is 3600 in 5th gear and it still has the power to pull for quick overtakes up to about 90 before it starts to loose puff a bit after that
@@_CTSquirrel Very welcome, pleased to report no bad vibrations either at 70mph just wind noise because of no screen. But its not the worst in the world, I normally do about 150 miles [roughly one tank] before I stop on motorways
Thanks, they make a great first bike and there is nothing more I want from my one. Its lovely in all areas and I can't imagine having anything else as my main bike :D
@@AnotherHipster Yes, I live in the mountains, so it can breathe and it's a pleasure on the twistis. I should be reasonable and trade it for a long-distancer, but… each time I start it, I think "No way Jose !" And I had quite a few other bikes !
@@pateris very cool, which ones? I really enjoyed taking it on some of Scotlands roads on my holiday in August, very nice to just let the engine braking roar under me & take corner after corner, even with the stock pipes sounds good
At the end of the trip, I'm curious as to how you felt in regards to the comfort of the bike for long journeys? I'm 5"11, and I've heard people saying that in that height bracket your knees / hips are liable to become stiff after a solid day of riding. I've been planning to buy a Street Twin for a good while now, but I'm wondering if the Street Scrambler would be better from an ergonomics perspective. They're both lovely bikes, but if I could save a bit of money by getting the Street Twin I would! Looks like a fun trip, goes to show you don't need a big touring bike to go on a tour!
Hi Matthew glad you enjoyed my video thanks, i'm a similar height. After 150 miles on just holding 70mph on the motorway my knees ache slightly, and i'm only 22 years old I thought that would be a while off before it happened...... But as soon as you stand up for a few moments it tends to disappear. Overall comfort wise I felt fine after my long days on tour, slight shoulder ache but I need to try and relax my arms more when i'm riding, I think I stay a bit too tensed throughout. Thanks it was a very fun trip, tonight i'm announcing the next trip which is just under 2000 miles and I have no trouble taking the Street Twin again. I wanted to prove the best bike for touring is what you already have so thanks for noticing that. Hope that helped speak soon, Jack [Another Hipster]
thanks buddy, just annoying because I knew they are not sold separately so just going to be clever about what goes in which pannier for the next trip :D
thanks they are Givi MT501s. Pretty affordable, I have a dual set but just ride with 1 normally. Here is the link to my video of them ruclips.net/video/hGMWCg8vhbQ/видео.html
Try the Jet boil gas canisters, or the MSR IsoPro Gas Cartridge, they are a little bit more expensive but are 100% reliable and burn a lot hotter than standard cans. they also come in a really small size.
thanks Richard, I will check them out once I have got through these cans. Always keen to reduce packing size. You get a shout out in my BMW Urban GS Video coming out next week btw :D
I always enjoy seeing the architecture of the buildings, all the stone fences. When you zoomed in on the locals did you do that on the GoPro or during editing? Thanks again for the great ride.
Very welcome, I wanted to leave the local town areas in there too glad you enjoyed it. I was using my DJI Osmo [I have a video on it if you are interested] for that section so just did it through the phone. I use iPhone when I am not on the bike as it gives better depth of image and colours (doesn't make mountains look like tiny hills)
Yeah it was a bit much I didn’t really need the pot noodle after , but without a fridge I had no choice but to have the 2 steaks... the eggs tend to be alright just by the tent all day tho

Great vid, thanks for sharing 👍🇧🇪
