This started off exactly where I would. Let us first and always pay tribute, love and gratitude to God. To God be the glory. This is true in all things. For without His grace and love we are but dust. As my family and I sat to eat our Thanksgiving dinner we gave all our thanks and honor to God. We are thankful for His love, salvation, and the gift of our family. That was our Thanksgiving. As for Christmas. This is the day we celebrate God's greatest gift and testimony to His love for us. The birth on earth of our Lord and Savior, Messiah, and the Way, Jesus Christ. Again, we must give ALL glory and honor to God. For this is His greatest gift to us. And nothing should be put in equal honor as our honor to God. Not presents or tales, food or play. -We thank You Father. For the unmeasured gifts You bestow upon us. For all the beauty and wonderous works You do. But we thank You most of all for the gift of the Son of Man, Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your forgiveness and salvation. May the Word of Jesus Christ reach and touch many many brother's and sister's. In the Holy name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen. God bless you my brother's and sister's. To God be the glory.

We anxiously await the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ in our home by lighting our home with festive colorful lights. We put out the tree and top it with a big star. We read a chapter out of Luke each day. We do not exchange gifts (only to the little ones and we say that Santa brought them from baby Jesus to help celebrate His birthday). Then we have a nice little dinner (smaller than Thanksgiving) and we remember what the birth means & what awaits.

Your family’s Christmas traditions sound so beautiful and centered on the true meaning of the season. I think for a long time, I took Christmas for granted and got caught up in all the “fuss”-especially when I had my grandchildren around. Things just aren’t the same when you don’t have little ones around to share in the magic.
It’s only in the past couple of years that I’ve really started to understand, on a deep heart level, what Christmas is truly about-the birth of our Savior and the hope and promise that brings. Around here, Eric and I don’t do much either. We both usually work, and we keep things simple-a little Christmas for Jessi, our (eldest and autistic) daughter who lives with us, and a family dinner, which is something we do often anyway. But what makes it special is taking that time to praise and thank Jesus for everything.
It’s such a blessing to step back and see Christmas for what it truly is-an opportunity to reflect on His incredible gift to us all. Thank you, as always, for sharing your traditions and inspiring us all to keep Christ at the center of it. Wishing you and your family a season filled with His love and light! 🎄✨
