    The SLED team ignored the prior judges ruling and went judge-shopping for what they wanted. They broke the law and they should be held accountable for their illegal actions against the farmer. They went after this farmer for political reasons, not for *justice.*

      it's coming out of state taxes? maybe, and more likely being paid from insurance, as in liability.
      You all need to quit the aggressive, we the taxpayer are footing the bill. The city has liability insurance, it's paid for with the income gathered by the city.
      The result you, as citizens want, is those wronged are properly compensated, the "criminals", in this instance, sled, attorney's, corrupt officials, fired, pensions forfeit, fines and probable jail/prison time for theft, willful destruction of property, false arrest, fraud by deception against the city, and anything else your laws provide as punishment.

    • @matthewsands3591
      @matthewsands3591 Год назад

      @@leeoshea2290 it's still tax payers money, even if paid by insurance that insurance is paid by taxes.
      Also, people aren't arguing that the compensation shouldn't be paid. They're saying it should be paid by the police, either personally or via their pension fund. They might act with more care if it cost them personally. But because tax payers have to pay, or insurance bought by tax money, they don't care.

      You blame the unions and their power. How about the elected officials who okayed the terms of contracts that give the unions the power that they have. The process is collective bargaining and when both sides, employer and employee, come to an agreement, that agreement over wages and terms of employment which many times gives too much power to the unions has to be approved by the elected officials for the employer.
      How about not putting the blame on the unions who are trying to get the best terms for their employees, but on the elected officials who okayed these outrageous terms.

    There should be a death penalty for abuses by Law Enforcement. Or at least the removal of the hands.

    South Carolina corruption runs deep, but it’s slowly coming unraveled. Thank you for helping clean up our state.

    There is a great example of why ALL prosecutors and sheriffs should be held accountable for their actions. They should be held liable and punished for their actions and the fact that they don’t shows why it still happens. They should have to pay their own way not the taxpayers who fit the bill when they do finally get sued. Take that 11,000 from his 401K.

    Great job by the farmer, attorneys, judge and the journalist that brought this justice. The regulations on hemp here are even worse than the rest of the USA hopefully we will get justice for our state’s hemp farmers as well.

    How does the head of SLED still have a job after his outrageous and completely unethical abuse of the law? He should not only be fired but also prosecuted for official oppression and perjury. What’s wrong with you folks living in South Carolina? You should be raising hell. Today it was this poor farmer - tomorrow they’ll be coming for you.
