Well plastic man can only be killed by one thing, frozen and shattered. It’s his only weakness and way to kill him. His comic version is practically DCs version of well Deadpool. A funny man who is seen more as a joke, but unlike mr.pool, Plastic mans jokey battle style of never being serious doesn’t work as much… but like Deadpool if serious he has the potential to rival the greatest hero’s in terms of strength (he can rival Superman in terms of power if Superman couldn’t freeze him that is, Deadpool meanwhile was able to murder the entire marvel universe once)

Didn’t even watch the movie yet, but the thing that annoys me the most up front, is the fact that there are multiple universes like in the games, with good and bad versions of characters fighting each other. This was cool for a fighting game (alternate costumes / interesting match ups) but feels jarring in a movie. Some people might prefer this because it’s more accurate to the source material, but imho this multiverse stuff is ruining als the tension and immersion. Because you just know that nothing matters in the bad universe and that everything is fine at the "real" one. If I wanted the same story, I could just go with the games. What I hoped for was them focusing on this one timeline and making it all play out within this universe. Could have been really cool.

The worst thing about this movie was how they showed superman's transition . In the comics it takes 4 years for him to become the evil tyrant but here he just instantly becomes one within only mere months .
1.Wonder woman is the one who starts pushing him to the dark side and begins his transition.
    2. Sinestro is the main reason to corrupt superman his morals , his belief that get poisoned by sinestro's involvement. This is where superman starts losing control.
    3. 'The man who lost everything' is a very important arc in year 3 that leaves a deep scar in his psyche even more . Giving him back what he had lost , showing him what could have been and just taking it away.
Honestly i think the movie should have adapted only a few issues from year 1 Till batman and his team invades the fotress of solitude and he gets his hands on the pills and cutting away to build up the hype that now batman can go toe to toe with superman. This would have led to more people joining in and led to a whole new series just imagine How good it would have been for Dc.

Injustice WW is hated even by fans of the comics and games since she written as an awful person with nothing in common with her mainstream counterpart. Superman doesn't feel like he was ever a hero in Injustice but at least he had a reason given for becoming a villain. WW just is evil.

    • @HarveyDent13
      @HarveyDent13 3 года назад +21

@Lujack Shaw Or here's a thought. Maybe they didn't want to portray her like that... because it's completely out-of-character?
The writer of the Injustice comics himself (Tom Taylor) has stated multiple times that he's not a fan of the way he wrote her in the comic series. He stated that for the sake of the plot, he basically had to convince himself that he was writing an entirely different character. *And it showed* . The Diana in the Injustice comics acted nothing like Wonder Woman.... she was practically unrecognizable. And from a CHARACTER standpoint, that's just poor writing.
Trust me, if the Injustice comics depicted Batman as a complete murdering lunatic who gave up his entire moral compass to scamper around for some random woman's attention, people would be PISSED. Because it's just unbelievably out-of-character. And well, that's exactly what they did to Wonder Woman. So the movie at least TRIED to give her a more believable arc near the end, as rushed as it was. Not saying it was perfect, but it was at least a step up from the comics.
At the end of the day, it had nothing to do with 'perfect female depictions' or media reception, and everything to do with knowing the character. The real Diana would never do the crap she did in those comics. And the writer himself would affirm that.

Don’t know what the fuck they were thinking. A series would have been better because it gives MORE TIME to have the story develop. To me, it seems like the Joker has a split personality. Just about every time that speaks, he starts off as the Joker personality, then halfway through, his "movie" Pennywise personality takes over and finishes the dialogue. It seems like whoever's in charge of the movie couldn't decide which clown is the more evil one out of the two, so they ended up combining the two, resulting in the character being nothing but an awful joke instead of being the Joker.

During my call center days, I worked in the back section of a mall. On the other side of the mall was one of the few comic book stores in town. I remember having every issue of Injustice waiting for me in my pull box and it was always an exciting feeling to head over there either on lunch or after I clocked out to get my orders.
Injustice Years 1-5 was the first full series I bought from start to finish as it was released (before Injustice Ground Zero, Injustice 2 and all the other crossover comics and spinoff stories). So, trust and believe watching this movie was as disgraceful to any Injustice fan (one who knows the source material; both games and comics) as Nightwing dying by falling onto a rock...
The way DC freaked up this film despite ALL OF THE SOURCE MATERIAL TO PULL FROM is as bad as the live action films being trash when they have a nearly INFINITE catalogue of source material to pull from! When they announced the movie I was excited because I thought it would be the start of a series of movies! Maybe a movie per year of the comics or something. Year 2 was probably my favorite because of the Green vs. Yellow Lantern War...oh yeah...was I letdown...

I mean if they tried to adapt the first five years of the Injustice comics accurately and with enough effort they could've made a killer animated series, probably just as good as Young Justice since the Injustice Comics are amazing. But all they wanted to do was make a weird Frankenstein's monster made from extremely butchered parts of the comic and the first game's story mode and the end result is atrocious, It's sad because Injustice has a lot of potential and this could've been a great project but they cared more about rushing a bad product they could sell straight to dvd than doing justice to Injustice (pun intended)

Say what you want about HQ but at least her redemption made sense in the comic. She had years to reflect and make real relationships outside of the Joker. You can say she didnt earn it but I'd argue that's WHY she is working for Bats. She is TRYING to earn that redemption and you can see her struggle with that when the Joker comes back into the picture. Yea Lex beat the hell out of the Joker and she had gone back to being the old Harley Quinn but afterwords was disgusted in herself for even considering it doing what she did and fully devoted her self to being a better person. Hell she even strapped Joker to a wall and beat him to within an inch of his life TWICE after that with the second time ending with the joker literally crawling to Batman and begging him to send him home. I fully believe that Batman wouldnt let her do half of what she does(go to the bat cave, know about and USE brother eye, know the secret plans etc) if he didnt actually believe in her.

With Harley, the change in character is natural I feel. In the games and comics I mean. Without the Joker's influence, people like Batman and Catwoman could slowly talk her into a better place. Then if the Joker came back, she would ofc fall back into it somewhat, its like offering drugs to an addict who has only been clean for a few years. Then at the end of it all, she comes to a full realization that she doesn't need the joker with people talking her out of it again.

Damien never meant to kill Dick, and that’s the whole point of this. It makes it less of an accident and therefore weakens the story that is trying to be told. So the logic of the death is kind of even but the actual point of the story was lost in the movie. So the original is still better. I just wish they'd stop writing her as so stupid and leaving out the fact she has a fucking PHD.
      She's ditzy, not a moron.
Like, make her a lesbian. That's fine. Change her outfit. Fine. Break up w joker?? Great!! But her core character traits seem gone.

I find it mostly comes down to if she's the focus of the story. She's wonderful in the birds of prey movie and harley quinn show. But here and the injustice source material she's just sort of tacked on to sell. When tacked she's written to be Joker's sidekick even when he's not in the story. She constantly references Joker and makes one liners while letting others get all the glory or character arcs. Whereas other stories explore her as a character.

@@eduardoflores2780 Last I checked she and her gang were still pretty homicidal in those movies/shows as well.

Personally I like Amazo’s look in the Justice League. It’s simple and it makes him look like a classic metropolis style robot and I mean like the Metropolis movie from 1920s kinda vibes. I mean it’s better than looking like a robo mariner.
