Christine is a 1983 American horror film directed by John Carpenter and starring Keith Gordon, John Stockwell, Alexandra Paul, and Harry Dean Stanton. The film also features supporting performances from Roberts Blossom and Kelly Preston. Written by Bill Phillips and based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King, the plot follows a sentient and violent vintage Plymouth Fury named Christine, and its effects on the car's new teenage owner.

I cannot overstate how impressed I am with this masterpiece. No exaggeration. This guy knows music inside and out and he manipulates it wonderfully. Seriously, I'm sick of charlatans putting a backbeat on a song they have no business touching, then calling it a remix. This guy has created a whole new complete and complimentary song for this track, with style and skill and respect for the original.

If they remake the film, this needs to be the theme tune
A good song should have soul to it. It should feel like it has a history all its own. This tune (and it's covers) is one such song. You cannot make a Christine story and commit it to film without this tune playing.

I love John Carpenter and loved the Christine song he made a while back but this one honestly feels creepier because the lack of the guitar part in the original song. Don't get me wrong I love the original but in terms of creepiness this cover wins but for that feeling of rage the other one works better. Certainly an amazing cover.
