These kids were about 16 when they recorded this about 10 years ago. Makes me want to go out and buy a white Fender strat. I read about them in the now defunct "Surfer Girl" magazine (won a Boogie board from them, too!). Glad I bought the CD. Great band!!

Though the 3 chord minor key main parts of this song are an original composition, there are two sly references buried in here to the 1976 hit "Don't Fear The Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult. The first one quotes the verse chords of the BOC song beginning at 1:21, and the second one features the arpeggios in the middle of the BOC song from 1:41 to 1:58. Sneaky.

Sadly I believe the CD is out of print. I looked for it not long ago and no luck. But it is worth looking for and getting if you can find it!

The tune I definitely would include here would be "Mountain Valley War", by Phantom 309, from their CD titled "3000 crooked miles to Honolulu" [ rateyourmusic.com/release/album/phantom_309__00s_/3000_crooked_miles_to_honolulu/ ]
