you ELEVATED "Print in Place" into another atmosphere (maybe even the space)
BRILLIANT
Thanks! :) let me know if you want to make an ipad holder ;) I can cook up some custom stls for you ^^
this is literally one of the most under-rated channels on youtube!
keep up the fantastic work!
Not sure how I've been living without this thing. Immensely cool!
Life is hard without it!
How in the world does this only have only have 5K views? Sunshine- this is brilliant. And you just posted for free! Bravo sir. IMPRESSIVE.
Thanks :)
This is some godly level PiP design right here
i synchronized my jaw-dropping and eye-popping motions.
Sooooooooo elegant
Points for the 80085 calculator easter egg. Here, have my like and comment.
I just printed the big one with the jack on an Ender 5 Pro with 3DQF PLA and it worked very nicely one a couple of tiny points were cleaned up with a knife. Had to add a little oil to the racks because otherwise they get stuck, I think this is down to them flexing.
Amazing :)
Hello, I am writing to you from Milan Italy .... I followed your printing advice and I was successful at the first try !!! congratulations for your job!! see you soon, Mauro.
Hellyes cant wait to get my hands on one of these!
Well done bro. As someone who loves compliant mechanisms I am pleasantly surprised by the ingenuity you put into this design!
THIS IS IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT
this is cool design.. I hope to see more 3d print design like this.. tq great sharing
This is some insane engineering, man! I love your Print in place designs. Keep them coming ;)
Please do a tutorial on making this in Fusion 360!
You are totally crazy... and brilliant... but mostly crazy!! This is brilliant :) Thank you
Very cool stuff as always ! Not sure how I managed to miss this video ....
How is this Chanel now huge you have amazing content for 3d printing this is awesome! keep up the awesome work!!
I don't usually subscribe to many channels but you deserve my subscription sir! Just keep on uploading these great 3d printing videos! Greetings from Greece!!!
Thanks! Appreciate it! :) more coming up!
Very cool design!
It works! That's the important part :)
What an amazing design! Well done!
Dude you are awesome. Love the sense of humor.
Noice! Time to fire up the printer!
How the hell dont u have at least 100M subs? what a freaking genius... Thank you
i subscribed because if the cheeky way ya slipped it in there
This is a form of real magic.
I do admit, it's incridebly cool!! i printed one with 30% infill, and it's not strong, the weight of my phone, just unscrews the box down. Cool but kinda impractical.
Earned a new subscriber fo just having such awesome designs
Hmm, I tried making this awesome thing, but the movable fused with the bridged parts. What kind of tolerances are required for this to work properly?
6 months and no answer, this print is crap
The settings are at 3:50. I'm having trouble too.
Same issue. The moveable parts seem to be stuck to the base.
😄Fantastic! love it.
Very cool.
Thanks! :)
Dude, I found you today, you design the best shit.
subscribed instantly when he said "you should be subscribed to this youtube channnel, check!"
First! Neat thing, will print later
Thanks :) Let me know how it goes!
You're a genius
I just got into 3D printing and I have to say your designs and videos are topnotch. Will try this one out sometime soon. Did I miss the test-print video and explaining what it will show?
Man this only made me remember how in disrepair Thingiverse has become😟 good work tho you are a mad man!
Perfect, now make it for my iPad
I like it... Except for the lack of a beer holder.
Crazy stuff
you are insanely genious
It is a very cool design. I tried to print one with PLA but need help in dealing with an issue of stuck moving parts. How did you prevent those moving parts from stuck on the body?
Great Job Sunshine. I just print on but the parts are not moving :) I guess I am new to this
nice
saludos , el modelo es interezante , pero yo lo imprimí y no lo pude usar porque el mecanismo sale pegado no se desliza., que puedo hacer para que funcione?.
Great design! With what did you design it? I hope openSDCAD, and i hope you would share it.
Why is it so hard to not like your videos :)
Hey this is awesome! Subscribed!
Thanks! Welcome to the channel :)
The description says subscribe...so...what else i could do to get the Job done?😅
Great work and nice video
I am having one hell of a time getting the top part to break free... any advice?
sick man
I had problems initially with getting it to stick but decreasing the speed to 35mm/s from 50 mm/s did the trick.
EDIT: Also I wouldnt leave the springs under tension for too long or it will wear out faster.
my question is how you made amazon show that you were shipping to the iss
what a brain you have!!!
great!
Just tried the test print for this and I can tell if I do the whole stand it will fuse together.
Get the 1000 Subscribers.. you deserve it :D
Why Angus is not reviewing this? Thomas? Joel? Why?
when i print it, all the parts are stuck together and it doesnt move freely. any ideas how to fix this problem?
Check your flow rate. Get rid of z-wobble. That worked for me.
Can you do this with a 3d resin printer?
You magnificent beast.
do you know if i can use this phone stand to Samsung Galaxy Z fold 3?
Did u used support?
Will print this next time I get the chance.
What is up with the music mixing? :/
the file works on a resin 3d printer?
where can i find that blue filament you used 2:19
Does this work with PLA or will burst immediately?!?
What kind of supports do you recommend?
No supports! Prints without :)
what filament is used?
Why do you think it helps to uncheck “Outer before inner perimeters”?
There are a few tight clearances in combination with steep overhangs, in these situations outer before inner can result in parts fusing in my experience, hence i recommend using "horizontal expansion " compensation instead.

How the crack you don't have 100 mi subscribs?
Love the design, fo sho gonna print this and you got my sub!
Question though... on the settings you have "wall thickness of 1.2mm" and a "wall line count of 2." Don't these two numbers contradict themselves? At 0.4mm wouldn't wall thickness of 1.2mm be a 3 wall count, and conversely a 2 wall count be a 0.8 wall thickness?
Or am I just dumb? I mean obviously it all worked out...
Reply to my own post, but.... Tried the Print in Place phone holder and its a "no go." CURA can't slice it properly and fuses one of the "gears" to a "slide," through multiple layers. Found this out after trying ot print it, sadly the print itself looks great! but looking into the CURA layers show that I will never get it to work "as modeled" with CURA. Perhaps another slicer will do it... but NOT gonna happen in CURA.
Love your designs all the same... keep 'em coming!
I cant get this to work, the printed get out as a block
i got a problem.. my test print isnt working. i found a option in cura called skin overlap percentage. whats your number in there?
I usually leave that alone, i use horizontal expansion to fix any clearance issues, try -0.1mm
SunShine ok ill try it
SunShine working now thanks
is working so good. thanks for sharing this object. :D
is this printet with pla?
Yes!
Ok now print a cellular base station.
You Did It. You Crazy Son of a Bitch, You Did It ;)
Who is this guy? Why so few subscribers?
No one wants to subscribe 🤷♂️
@@TurboSunShine Sir, your designs are beautiful and incredibles. Thank you!
we don't need support ?
Prints without support!
yeah... here in my bed. i hve gravity issues
do you have a discord server?
I don't, not yet atleast
SunShine because maybe we can talk about printing, designing and improving things
So sad that "somebody" had to delete my negative comment :)

it's may be a must, but only when it's working !
it takes at least 7 ours to print it, then 7 other to avoid the burrs, pieces are sticking together. Well, a nightmare I just loose my time.
printing without brim doesn't work forget it !
Hi, sorry to hear that its causing you troubles, if you would like to try it again; try to print it without a Brim, and without supports. If you are having issues with the print sticking to your print bed without a brim, try cleaning the print surface, and re-level the print bed, it might be neccesarry to use a slower initial speed for the first layer. If you are having issues with gears sticking together, I highly recomend printing the test pice first, and configure the "horisontal expansion " setting of your printer until the parts are movable after printing.
@@TurboSunShine Thank you, I will follow your advices, I'm not so specialist in printing, I don't know if My machine (alfawise U20) gives the possibility to decrease the speed by printing the first layer. Is there a possibility to upload the printing parameters ? If not, what are the important parameters to configure to avoid sticking ?
Thanks again
Alain (France)
@@alainkuntz what slicer are you using?
@@TurboSunShine hey, I'm using Cura, giving gcode file
@@alainkuntz ok, in cura, you need to show the hiden settings: "Initial layer speed" and "Horizontal expansion", you can enable these by clicking on the gear icon that apears when you hover your mouse over the settings tabs. otherwise, try going slowly for the first layer ~15mm/s. and wash the buildplate with some soapy water and a sponge. try whith horizontal expansion compensation of: -0.1mm (the minus is important)
Ok.. in general when you're talking, background music should be barely audible. But at @3:50 on, you aren't just talking, you're reading out _settings_ . Very annoying to listen to. TLDR: Turn Down The @#$ng music when you're talking!
Ehh. Over complicated and not a very elegant design.
for inside car i think id rather go with abs or petg, sliced it now for abs but thinking maybe petg better because of flex that filament has... what do you think ?
