I tried one of their putters a few months ago. I hated the sound/feel but was very impressed with the results. VERY impressed.

Would love to see you do a putter review of some of the Sub70 line of putters (004, 005 and 009 models). They are a great option for anyone looking for a 100% milled putter for less than half the price of big names, AND they come with weight kits for adjustability. I've loved your prior reviews of Sub70 clubs and it made me look in their direction, and my Sub70 TAIII irons are the best set I've ever had!!

I rolled a demo Malibu and after about 2 minutes I knew this was the putter I had been searching for these last couple of seasons. Felt so stable in my hands and the SIK face produced an immediately good roll, didn't seem to matter how I contacted the ball. I'm not a great putter and a mid-handicapper and the Malibu just seemed to instantly smooth some things out in my stroke. It's very forgiving, and, in my hands, the perfect weight (doesn't feel like a heavy sledgehammer). Interestingly, the short-slant neck on this head is what did it for me, which was a surprise as I had been playing face-balanced prior (and a pxg blade). So I'm the opposite of Mikey there...keep this one in my hands! The dealer offered me a significant discount to take the mint demo off his hands and I yolo'd (especially since I'm up here in Canada). Ironically, the forgiving tech in this putter (particularly the more forgiving Malibu) would help a lot of mid to higher handicappers out there like me, but it's priced for elite golfers and dieh-ards only, which is a shame. For some reason cobra is still able to use the SIK face, so if you can nab one of those at a hot deal instead, I would say check those out for sure and you will save a boatload of cash to get the SIK benefits, which are real. I don't regret my Malibu and you will have to pry it from my hands to leave the bag. The forgiveness and confidence translated onto the course where I was knocking in 5ft birdie putts surprisingly consistently and that's been a mental knee-knocker distance for me, but now I feel very confident with the roll and that it will start online and drop in. Found downhill putting pace easier to modulate too, maybe because of the lighter feel in my hands. Shaft is awesome and maybe it makes the putter feel a bit lighter, so I'm getting better feedback to my brain. If I have something heavy in my hands, my brain says to my muscles "smash it", and I don't care to untrain that right now. I don't think everyone will love this putter but if it fits you and your eye, it will be a weapon for sure. I love the blacked out look. If I want to look at the subtle gloss black alignment lines I can, but if I want my eyes to ignore them, I can easily do that as well, so I feel like I get the best of both worlds on the visuals. Great review, great putter (and baller shaft which has no flex), I would highly recommend giving one a roll. LA golf is on to something here with their Gen2.
On another note, you gave me the idea of adding a bit more weight to the toe of my PXG blade, which I can easily bump up in 2.5 weight increments with the weight kit I have. I'm going to try a 15 gram weight difference between the toe and heel. Might help stabilize my back-up gamer (I'm sentimental and have trouble letting go of old putters). Update: I tried that and its stabilizing my blade too! Awesome!!! Last note: I had the shaft pulled and logos turned to the side so I had a clean black look all the way down to address. I agree that its too loud down the putter shaft.

Great stuff, bummer you didn't include the new armlock versions (unless those are a different video).

Absolutely ridiculous how expensive the golf club industry is… 🤦🏻‍♂️ I hope the evolution of Kirkland and some of the other cheap brands starts making a dent in the big companies prices in the upcoming years.

@@joshuahanson8543don’t take la golf too seriously. They’re essentially just a boutique shop for golf. They’re not representative of the industry as a whole.

After the putt on 7.57 min Ian saying to Mike "your drilling it into the ground". Mike's ball position looks more to the right of centre from Quintec's recording view. Is this so ? if, then why ? and if might this be a possible reason for hitting more down and being 'saved' bij the ascending loft of the SICK face ?

I'd love to know the thinking of the logo up on shaft besides marketing, seems contradictory to the popular orientation

I have these a try and hated how the carbon head felt. The LA golf putter shaft is pretty great. It would make a cinderblock head feel soft lol

Putting is so individual, surely lessons are a much better investment. Don’t care what’s in your hand, hit it off line and you miss.

I guess their technology doesn't work. I don't think the launch angle ever hit their claimed 1.5 degrees.

The first generation of their putters was, hands down, no question, the worst feeling/sounded premium putter I’ve ever tried. Just horrible. Felt like a toy putter. Hopefully that’s been improved, because I think more than anything (even the price tag), the feel is what turned buyers off.

More than half of the U.S. hates anything having to do with California, from a marketing standpoint I don’t know why you’d wanna alienate half of your potential customers. Not Smart😂
