Will, you are the best friend we all wish we had IRL...great great advice..I will be 57 this week. To add, if you DO NOT MAKE THESE LIFE DECISIONS..Someone will make them for you, and that will be in there thier best interest, not yours.

Thankyou for this video Will and sharing your family experience. Reminds a lot like mines.
Thanks for dropping jewels on this cut. I agree staying on the right path allowed me to reap the rewards of today. Having a good paying job in tech (from obtaining certs like CCNA/AWS/Cloud), getting married to a beautiful queen, purchasing our first home together a year ago with our own downpayment money and being financially secure. Feels good. We ain’t done yet. Many more goals to hit.
It’s a shame that some of my childhood and teenage friends strayed away and are stuck. I wasn’t afraid to say no to things that would destroy my hopes and dreams. There were times where I was alone in high school because I stood true to myself. Many of them didn’t know who they were and they followed the bandwagon. It’s unfortunate that many of our young brothas don’t have mentors in the family. But thanks to the internet they can get knowledge elsewhere.
Went to Barnes and Noble a week ago and picked up some books to start reading again. I agree knowledge is power. How can a man budget a million dollars if they can’t budget even $1000 to their name.
Thanks again for your knowledge and keep the motivation videos coming my brotha.

Such powerful advice. As soon as we accept responsibility for everything in our lives we regain the power to control our life and what we get out of it. When we blame others for everything wrong, we have NO power to course correct and get stuck in a negative place.

This is the Will Motivation we need more of, planting seeds of wisdom... love it my brother! Agreed, in life we make choices, then our choices make us. Nice cars and material things are only temporary and will pass away... but our character will last forever. You're words are building character into those who choose to listen and motivating dreams into reality.

7:14 This is very true. So I don’t have this problem but my little brother does. He smokes a lot of weed and does anything weed related. I have other family members who also do.
I’m talking about my little brother specifically because he has* a PROBLEM. The problem is, he RELIES on it. He can’t do anything without it first. You want to go outside and do yard work? Smoke. You want to go to a friends house before heading out the door? Smoke. You need to go do something for someone in a hurry? Nope, smoke first.
This is a problem. He relies on it. It used to not be this bad a few years ago but it is now. If he doesn’t get to smoke, he gets super angry. I cannot stand this behavior.
Listen I know marijuana has benefits, I know all about it, however he doesn’t need it. He doesn’t need it medical wise. He spends so much money a month and he doesn’t even have a job. He asks money every now and then from friends and my parents. He doesn’t ask me for money, he knows I won’t lend him anything.
I work like this with everything in life. If I don’t need it, I won’t get it. If it’s something that’s worth it, like something I can always sell or use for many years, then it’s worth it. What he does is a temporary thing that’s very costly, just like cigarettes or vapes. I’m so glad I’m not into any of that, I also don’t drink alcohol. If I don’t need it, I won’t get it. I’m very strict about that. If it’s justifiable, then it’s okay but I don’t like anything that’s temporary like that, it’s a money pit that I can’t stand.
I know there’s sooooo many people who smoke, even people you wouldn’t think do. But that’s not the issue! The issue is when someone who DOESN’T need something but is actively throwing money at things they don’t need when they’re ALREADY BROKE, that’s the issue.
If people earned their money, yes they can choose what to spend it on, it’s their money. But when something is becoming so addictive, you should stop spending money on said things you don’t need, when I could suggest doing something with your earnings that’s justified.

    • @micspamgod2324
      @micspamgod2324 11 месяцев назад

I’ve smoked once just to try it. Most people have smoked weed at least once. I don’t care to ever do it again since I don’t NEED it. But I did want to try it to say I’ve done it.
I’ve tried cigarettes 3 different times when I was a kid, I don’t like it and that’s a very good thing I didn’t like it.
So many people get into money pits and they’re perfectly fine with it. They spend $100-$300+ a month on these things because they’re addicted. It’s sad to see.
A little drinking is perfectly okay as long as it doesn’t slowly become a problem.
I do neither of these and I feel so much better off this way.

The message about drugs is critical. Overdoses are going up. Around 100k per year. Fentanyl laced stuff is everywhere. This is about the worst time ever to have any type of drug problem or to experiment with stuff.

Will you gave some sound advice on not doing drugs. People don’t realize that from the 1950’ until today people were encouraged to use drugs as it was called the in thing or the cool thing to do. What people don’t realize that the brain doesn’t stop developing until the age of 25 and doing drugs during this stage can cause brain damage and permanently hider emotional development. This is why you will see a lot of men in their 40’s and over that are stuck in a permanent emotionally immature state and never get far in life and can’t maintain relationships.
