As far as we know they are enough different that a perfect fit will not be achieved. That being said we have some customers that have put them on anyway and made them work the best they can.
Help, my wind deflector rubber seal is not touching the roof of the truck and is up off the surface by about a quarter inch. Is there any adjustment to slide it down lower? I have hissing noise coming from it as a result I believe?
shouldn't have been better to drill the weatherstripping to the size of the bushing? since the foot of the rack does not make contact with the roof, and you cut the weatherstripping for no good reason, and just added cheap double-sided tape... maybe next time, use a step bit, mark the hole and slowly drill the weatherstrip until the bushing fit, that way the pins that hold it still work. just my .02 cents
It's likely that the spacers are almost the width of the weatherstripping so you'd probably barely leave any material on the actual weatherstripping where the holes are, and it's likely you'd be slightly off in the alignment so it's better to just cut it
Yes as part of a good installation we always clean up the installation area of all drilling debris. If you have any questions on the install please let us know!
