Long slow and easy runs - Nimbus Daily run at moderate pace - Cumulus Both shoes are amazing and can be used interchangeably for both types of runs except it's easier to dial up the pace in the Cumulus as opposed to the Nimbus which is more suited for a steady pace long run.
I will say this about the Nimbus 23: A) Supremely Comfortable (Cushioned everywhere) B) Good Stability (Won't let you shift your feet to the outside when standing) C) HEAVY (Trust me those 2 ounces make a big difference D) Big Goofy Looking Lip (But So soft and comfy) E) Easy To Lace (Long Laces) F) Premium Feel G) Front does NOT have a significant dip (Do they call this a toe drop off?) Thank you for the review. I need to try the Cumulus now.
If you tried it, what is your opinion? It is very important for me to stand and walk all day, so it should be padded, which should I choose, cumulus or nimbus or kayono?
I’ve been running in more expensive shoes with high cushioning such as the New Balance More V3 and the On Running Cloud Monster. But I’ve got to say that I love the stability and versatility of the Cumulus 23. This is my first ASICS shoe but it won’t be the last!
They're at 25 already but I've been using this exact Nimbus 23 as my daily everything shoe for the last year and a half...they're so good that I can't find a pair to replace them now that they're worn out lol cool review
Thank you Rob! Glad you enjoyed the review. I'll actually be reviewing shoes over on my own channel, Behind The Run, so if you're into shoe reviews I'd recommend checking out. I was getting to know video, audio, etc last year but planning to do a lot more this year.
Great review - liked AND subscribed! Question: can you recommend a shoe that feels like the nimbus but DOES have more cushioning towards the front rather than rear? Like yourself, I myself also strike front-mid. I’ve been using the nimbus for longer runs and cumulus for shorter/faster stuff so far.
In a week and a half i’m going ro run my first marathon. I have both shoes. Still not sure i want to run on the cumulus or nimbus. What is your advise? My pace is 5.45 per km.
So sorry! Didn't see this comment come through :/. How did your marathon go and what shoe did you use? The primary account that I post things to now is Behind the Run, so that's why I didn't see this one.
Great review, how do you compare the fit between the 2? Same length and width? How about heel slip? I did get in the Nimbus.. What is the difference in the heel cushion for heel striker between them? Same shock protection? Thank you for your help.
Thank you! If you got the Nimbus, I'd really suggest to stick to it because in my opinion there really is a significant difference in cushion and shock absorption. I didn't notice any significant differences in length and width and no heel slipping. The main difference I would say is in overall cushion level in the Nimbus.
I will be getting one of these 2 soon for everyday walking my dog, I walk about 3 miles a day, I had to give up running because of a knee injury, which of these trainers would you recommend for me, any advice would be much appreciated
Hello from Ireland great review. Do you think that the Asics are slightly over priced compared to some of there rivals, the Nimbus is 180 euro here which is expensive, Cheers.
Hi Sean, I think that depends on what other similar styles cost in Ireland such as the Brooks Glycerin, New Balance 1080, and Saucony Triumph. In the U.S all of these styles go for $150 U.S Dollars. Here there are two general price tiers, which are $130 for styles such as the Cumulus, Ghost, Ride and $150 for styles like I mentioned earlier. Hope that helps!
I bought the Cumulus based on this review, that the Cumulus is more responsive than the Nimbus. I disagree with that assessment and I think the Nimbus is a better shoe for me.
Have you ever felt that in any of your other shoes? We haven't heard any issues with that area of the shoe but usually when that's an issue, there's an alternate way of lacing your shoes that relieves that pressure.
@@TheCustomer look up Fleet Feet’s channel and look up Lacing Hacks. Here is a link ruclips.net/video/w8eJ2kf5ncs/видео.html There is another way they don’t cover where you just start lacing higher up basically just skipping the bottom portion and shifting everything up but the options they show should help.
Hey Jodhi! Sorry I didn't see this earlier. The main account I use not is my own channel, Behind the Run so I didn't see this. Without doing a whole video and just being super succinct, the Rincon is going to be lighter and softer but not as durable. The Cumulus is more of your typical daily trainer. It balanced so not very soft or cushioned, but enough to keep you protected for daily training.
why mix up millimeters with Oz pèls Go Ful Metric I want weight in grams, the world wants it too except a country beginning with a U. anyway very good and honest revieuw

Which running shoe is best in shin pain ?
I like to wear asics for training too (not heavy weight lifting) do you think the cumulus is more suitable?
Hi! Yes, in that case the Cumulus would probably be better suited since it's a little lighter and you have a little more ground feel with it.
I will be getting one of these 2 soon for everyday walking my dog, I walk about 3 miles a day, I had to give up running because of a knee injury, which of these trainers would you recommend for me, any advice would be much appreciated

in my country it got discount until 50 dollar but just size us 10 only

I tried the Nimbus 23 and it feels a bit tight on my upper foot. Strange.

i have moderate pronation, what would be the better choice? Do either handle grass and hills ok?
Definitely, the Nimbus in that case as it's the more stable of the two. Also, yep yep! It can handle hills and some grass just fine.

"Back on track".... distraction problems :)
done subscribed. good job:)
Simple:
5k and 10k races - cumulus
Longer runs - nimbus
