I have so much respect for this couple to open their home to all these animals. So many animals need love, kindness, and compassion. It warms my heart to know that there is still gem of humanity out there. This is one of the most touching videos I have ever seen!

Had an adorable female pig when I was growing up in the 70’s. She weighed over 600 pounds. She was super sweet and so incredibly intelligent. We called her our “hog dog” because she had a personality like that. Love “scritches” and sweet talk.

Love knowing that there’s 100+ animals of all types living their best life and being happy and healthy for the rest of their days. It always makes my day seeing people with their own sanctuary doing incredible work.

The word "especially" is key. It implies that the plot of land is used to raise animals and usually It's livestock but not all the time.
@@LP-mo3sh no production. Also to raise livestock implies breeding not keeping as a pet. For example I fatten feeder pigs every year. This makes me a pig grower I however buy my weaner pigs from a pig farmer who breeds pigs. In my mind a farm produces a surplus off food or fiber or livestock.. I do think they have a nice peace of land and take great care of the animals there.
Something tales me the folks that grow all of the food you eat would agree with me. Just an assumption, and we know how dangerous those can be.
@@davidfox7242 did you even read my reply? a farm is a place that raises animals plain and simple. all animals not just livestock. haven't you heard of a puppy farm? they breed quickly for pet shops not Vietnamese restaurants.

All rescues.
It is a LOT of work and a lot money.
Food, medical, etc..
At times, overwhelming and very stressful.
Do we regret it?

I know these people! How amazing to see them on GeoBeats! I haven't spoken to them in ages because I came off social media but I'm definitely planning a visit when the weather improves. They have some gorgeous highland coos as well as a myriad of others saved from the slaughterhouse and are truly living the dream. So lovely to see :)

Good buddy of mine from my old job had a miniature pig. I was smoking some wd at his house and was sitting with my head back and I felt this nudging. I look down and it was a tiny pig. I was astounded for about two hours.

More than 30 years ago I watched a program on tv about free range pigs vs the industrial farming of pigs. That program was a shock to watch but also an eyeopener. I haven't eaten meat since that day.
Francisco and his fellow pigs should not ever be just a number, a produce and beings without voices and rights. They are lovely animals, and animals have feelings too

I've always wanted a rescue pig. I would call her/him 'Daisy'... He/she would come for walks with the dogs and me, and sit on the porch with us in the afternoons, whilst I drink ciders.

My potbelly Prissy thinks shes a dog. She barks like the dog she was raised with. She visits the neighbors because she gets bananas there. I had 5 potbellies because people bought them that couldnt have them. They are very sensitive, neat a intelligent. We had to put childlocks on everything because she learned how to open anything with food lol

I love pigs 🐷💙 after watching a traumatic video about how intelligent and loving pigs are and how they're treated at factory farms and slaughter houses. I quit completely eating pork about 8 months ago. I'm glad I did. Pigs are just as smart as dogs. Can't wait to have my own pig lol that's a very nice lady taking such good care of Francisco lol I guess it would be Franky for short no??? Lol just like me.

Wonderful video! I love the mix of animals and their casual, playful interaction. The photos are wonderful. What animal lovers understand is that all living things are "beings". Like us, they all have presence, mind, consciousness and personality.
No "being" is better than another. We're all part of the same field of life, mind, emotions and consciousness. The perception of separation-apart from form-is an illusion; a wonderful, marvelous illusion. But when it becomes a delusion, people become fearful, violent or uncaring.

I sure wish people would research before they adopt animals, so they know what to expect. It's always sad when people reject the animal when they are unprepared to care for them. Thank goodness for these people who rescue animals that uninformed or unwilling people abandon.

Pigs are so intelligent and have some human traits. So why would anyone expect him to not act like a dog? He didn't know any other way but as a pet. Thank goodness he didn't have to become bacon and this kind good lady adopted him when he was discarded, like rubbish. Commitments are made by trash people who don't understand that Adoption means just that. For better or worse it's for ever.
Hey Francisco was not “disregarded like rubbish” We decided it was unfair to continue to keep him in the house and thankfully the sanctuary where kind enough and had the space to take him which we as a family where were very thankful for. Although I understand now it was very naive to think a micro pig was real and that Francisco would stay that size forever, at the time we did not have that mindset. Again we took the time to find the best place for Francisco which was this vegan sanctuary which is proof we didn’t just disregard him!
