I mailed him a letter, when he lived in his first house. That burned down in Yorba Linda. He actually responded and later called me! We forged a friendship and I finally got to meet him first in Greenville SC. Then again in Kennesaw GA. The night that Buck Owen's died. Haven't saw him in a handful of years. But call anytime I'm in CA. He's the coolest, most honest person I know. I haven't got to experience riding in "The Vette" so far. But look forward to it one day and told to bring earplugs.
