Egg donor experience

A former egg donor at Carolina Conceptions recounts her experience.
Since 2006, Carolina Conceptions has provided the latest in assisted reproductive technologies such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), ICSI, preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), preimplantation genetic screening (PGS), blastocyst culture, blastocyst biopsy (trophectoderm biopsy), egg donation, donor sperm insemination, embryo, sperm and egg cryopreservation, ovulation induction and intrauterine insemination (IUI).
We treat patients with infertility problems due to endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), male factor, fallopian tube obstruction, uterine fibroids and age related issues such as decreased ovarian reserve. We also treat patients who are carriers of genetic mutations who wish to prevent passing them on to their offspring.

Egg donors have reported long-term effects including aggressive breast cancer, loss of fertility, and fatal colon cancer, sometimes occurring just a few years after donation.
