Im gonna hold off on this guy and hope they give a Berseker armor Kratos or a god of war 3 Kratos. And I pray to the all father they give us villains from god of war 3 or Ragnarok.
D, Sorry, but you should have the done the "T" pose with without the armor, than added the armor; Unparalleled showed that you can raise the arms fully vertical with the magnets in use. The most limiting factor is the skirt, which is okay, because Kratos does not do many dynamic kicks, and you can cut the skirt to allow greater range; though, they should just used a soft-goods skirts. This guy can pretty much achieve any Kratos pose you need without a problem. If Brotoys decides to make an unarmored version without visibly noticeable magnets in the shoulder, this would be a 100% a banger. Even so, this the best and most articulated Kratos anyone is going to get for the time being. The Neca versions are simply articulated statues, which is fine if you are happy with that. 1/6 versions are rarely ever articulated enough to reach dynamic poses. At the very least, this figure is as posable as one would expect Kratos to be.
The Neca versions have even more articulation than this, with just as good of a sculpt. They just need better paint, and this has great paint. Plus more accessories, that is important. I mean Neca version even has toe articulation, ankle pivot, double jointed everything. Both of them have no buttefly joints and limited torso movement.
Slide the shoulder pads down. Put arms in T pose and slide shoulder pads back on. Works great. Just u got to do more steps unfortunately. But still great looking Kratos figure .
If brotoys can make a GOW3 Kratos with both blades of athena and exile with a possible blade of olympus and nemean cestus accesories, is gonna be the best X3
Dude. It's not "decide." It's "deicide" the targeted extermination of a grouping of gods. And honestly, what I wanted to see was the posing and you saved me an impulse buy, so thank you. I need a Kratos that can move, and this didn't cut it. And I hate to sound like an old fart, wake me up when they go a true "Ghost of Sparta" game 1 Kratos. Final note, I saw a thing on 5K's Instagram account that this was made with some fancy new 5 axis CNC machine, hence all the cool detail, but like... anyone who's bought a 4HM figure since Xetheus has seen this level of style detail. Whatever this advanced CNC is doing, it has either not hit stride, or is just marketing nonsense. You don't need a 5 axis CNC to get sculpts this good. There are gaming minis out there in the world that are more detailed than this, and that's not a diss, that's a fact.
Due to overall lack of 1/12th Kratos in the past years, I doubt there will another armored version any time soon. This is third party taking a stab at a character while unlicensed. If the deluxe version does not include the spear, then it is unlikely they will release a "super deluxe version"; however, they may release a version of Kratos with the traditional outfit of less armor, which may include the spear. The spear was a projectile and not a main weapon, so it not a big priority, and it is not very difficult to take a spear from another line or figure and make fit in with Kratos. This is a weird nitpick, beyond complaining about about there is a standard version, and a deluxe version with a higher price. In reality, any company can produce whatever they want; they do not have to create a deluxe version with more weapons that not is a staple to the plot of the current GOW, like the blades of chaos. The fact we get a deluxe version is luxury (Blades of Chao were a staple for original GOD games, not the current ones, since current Kratos is not about cause chaos, death, and destruction, unless necessary). I am pretty sure most people would prefer the blades of chaos over the Olympian spear, considering spears have minimal dynamic attacks in terms of poses. If they did include the Olympian spear, it would cost more than already does, and the current cost is already too much for some people.
