Looks heavy but amazingly controllable despite the fast rate of fire. One of the few handheld automatic weapons you could use in full auto at longer range without laying down with a bipod. Fast rate of fire+ controllable recoil -> more hits on target despite open bolt delay and crappy 9mm ballistics. Only problem is getting the gun to the frontline and you need young jacked troops to hold it all day.
Doublecollum stick mag is actually Carlgustav M1945 mag orginally, all Suomi M31 were (receiver) opened up in 1950 for doublefeed (versus single feed of quadstack and drum). Very few were left in orginal configuration of singlefeed mags and those quadstack mags had reputation not working and were used almost always on semi only. If you have gun at hand try this: Put your firinghand thump on the endcap push the gun off shoulder( about ½") keep cheekweld on the stock and fire. Keep recoil on your thump and arms. That is the way it was taught shoot 70 years ago.
Sweet! You can get uppers for M11 and M10 MAC’s that use Suomi magazines like you said. I ended up getting a tungsten slow fire bolt and some 50 round Z-Mags for my M11/9 instead. It makes a much smaller package then an M11/9 with the Suomi upper.
One of my favorites. So heavy it will make a man out of you lol. I’ve wondered if you could have a stock 3-D printed, should knock off a couple of pounds
The barrel length doesn’t matter as long as you have that registered bolt in the gun.

Suomi KP is heavy even without extended barrel.
KP/-31 SJR (II) with full drum mag is nearly 7kg.
Always a great content. Thanks for doing the videos that you do.

I have a TNW semi M31, great gun. Also have a KP44. Nice to see a video on the M31
Sounds like around 800 RPM like my Reising.
"ooOooOoOoooo" yeah.
I love the quad-stack magazines... what a shame they haven't seen more use. Maybe waiting for their chance?
