just trust me - go look it up 💀
@@squiddu Nah, they're not working for him. It's a scam. There's a ton of videos debunking these glasses. Even a few of the people who advertised it have said in podcasts they were faking their reactions. Honestly though, it's probably impossible to make colour blind people see the same amount of colours as other people with just glasses. It would either require an eye operation or something that affects the processing of the brain.

I smiled so much while watching this :) This is the wholesome content we need. Not even from Smashers specifically, just in general

Cody calling his dad is so wholesome.
I'm so fascinated by this guy's reactions. Never seen anything at all of his, but the fact that he had no idea what to call the Final Destination color was amazing. It's a hot pink/magenta btw!
Listening to Cody say WTF whenever he sees colors is so funny
I like this so much more than the clickbait fake ones. Something about the immediate confusion and perhaps anger is so much better than the fake reactions.
7:51 i love how he's SO confused by the magenta border on final destination, fun fact magenta isn't actually a real color on the light spectrum it's just a result of our human minds trying to comprehend a mixture of red light and blue light
I mean it's the same deal with Cyan and Yellow
@@heyhorhey528 well technically yellow does exist, it's just that we don't have a yellow cone in our eye so our brain reproduces it by combining red and green (the three basic colors are green, red and yellow btw)
Why i think the color name was violet before lol...
@@mjproject7072 actually Purple is what you get when you mix Blue and Red. Crayola coined the term Purple because they couldn't call it Grape, and chose it over Violet *because it was too hard to pronounce for children according to them*
@@toffyflame0"Purple" traces back to the Middle English "purpel" and the Old English "purpul", which comes from the Latin "Purpura".
So no, Crayola didn't coin it although they may have popularized it
This was so fucking entertaining.
Cody's reaction to realizing that he has never truly seen FD's colors killed me
about red: red is the longest wavelength color, and shows up darkest when "color" is removed from it. in black and white, true red shows up really dark, and true cyan shows up really light.
My bro got the color DLC for life ❤
This was such a treat and made me appreciate colors a little more. I really hope he takes these outside someday, to watch a sunset, to reach a hiking summit, etc
"The more I look at stuff, the more I'm starting to see things."
That's right up there with "People die when they are killed."
LOOOOOL
not quite
The more you wear them the better you’ll get at seeing the colors because your brain has to learn for the first time how to process the new stimuli, its pretty cool actually
Is that from experience? Or just a general understanding of the process.
Sadly though, that’s not how seeing color works. He’s been scammed
@@lawofgames9978 Well it's not like we can see color perfectly anyway. We know there are animals with more cones in their eyes than us, meaning there are colors and other such things that we can't perceive. So really, we're all being scammed by nature. Especially since, for all we know, the way we perceive certain colors could be completely wrong. We're just unable to know any better.
@@lawofgames9978 I'm so glad you know his experience better than the person experiencing it. You are a brilliant genius for knowing a color blind person's experience better than him. You're so smart and cool. How could anyone be cooler than you.
Asshole.
@@gurvmlk Yes this if from a very famous neuroscientific phenomenon that was discovered first by a Scholar reading the Homer’s Odyssey, and then going back to many ancient text to realize that the ability to percieve the color blue arises first in humans in Egypt with the discovery of Lapis dye.
From this we realized that for the brain to process stimuli, we have to engage with the stimuli. Homer described the sea and the skies as “wine-dark” because both the air and water are transparent or many different colors when you interact with them up close. Also, the color blue occurs very seldom in other parts of nature.
Similar to Inuits that have so a magnitude more words for describing types of white and snow. Or African tribes that also have an expanded vocabulary for shades of green, but also when presented with A grid of 9 squares that are green, with 1 grid being slightly off shade, they differentiated the off-color with far greater accuracy than control conditions.
A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us 'no'
Or where to go
Man literally googled "Red Color", that gave me chills. I honestly feel great for him
I can only imagine him after the stream having a dinner and screamming "IS THAT HOW FOOD LOOKS LIKE?"
Imagine selling a colour blind kid a pink DS.
So funny xD
what's wrong with a pink ds?
@@onetrickponysona2613 what's wrong with selling a colour blind young boy a pink DS? I don't know, he could've gotten bullied in school for using a girly colour he never asked for, he could've been called gay when he clearly isn't, could've been awkward around other kids his age that had different coloured DS's, could've given his relatives and parents the wrong idea, those kinds of things.
@@shaunthesheep24 Man, this is an example of why I hate gender norms so much. Let a man own something pink, it's just a color. Also, funny thing is that a long time ago, pink was considered a manly color while blue was associated with being feminine.
@@foppypoof5195 @Demon that lurks in your closet
That ain't gonna stop kids from making fun of someone who's different or make people not judge you on what accessories or colour clothing you wear. I knew this guy at school who got bullied over eating a pink packet of Walkers Crisps. They called him pinky for 3 years. He never came to school with a pink packet of crisps ever again and it was his favourite flavour too. This other guy I knew was the pure definition of a jock. He did Judo was like 6.5 feet tall, won a few silver and even gold medals. He was super popular and everyone thought he was awesome, but as soon as he came out, everyone was shocked and just stopped hanging out with him. Some people even made fun of him. I learned while growing up that you shouldn't judge or make fun of people for what they eat, what they do or what they wear. I always believed that everyone was different, because if we were all the same, we'd be robots with no personality. Some people are bullys, some people are judgemental, everyone is different. That's life.
Aye I was in the chat and sent the FOD skin at 9:56! Chose that one specifically because it had a wide color gamut and knew it’d be neat for him to look at. Made me happy to have him see it :)
This is one of the coolest things the algorithm has sent me to. I’m not even colorblind and I got choked up watching this. Awesome experience it seems.
