We we're playing this piece during my music lessons and I was like "heeeey, I recognise that ..." And then I realised I first heard it when I first played Ib several years back (also from AC: Unity I think..) Anyway, it's beautiful.
I love how this is played by a MIDI, I can't help but think it might have been symbolic in that it is kinda fake compared to Gary's themes that are actually recordings. And it isn't a bunch of electronic sounds like all the anxiety based music. Now that I think of it, it might be interesting to see how the choices of where to use recorded performances, as opposed to MIDI tracks, as opposed to the electronic music and how that informs the story!
Just a quick trivia. The name of this is "Corelli La Folia" because it's Arcangelo Corelli's variation on "La Folia", a classical piece of significant importance. It's simplified to be used as a theme, but it is indeed a beautiful song, isn't it? :D
Thanks for the clarification. Still, the musical piece, "La Follia", has it's original set in Spain rather than Italy, so I thought the spanish translation was better used.
It's actually on debate, to be fairly honest. It popped up in history in Spain, but some argue it's of Portuguese origin, even if it was named in Spain. The piece has a pretty interesting story to be honest.
...La Folia means Folly in spanish, the piece's original language. Corelli is a compositor, one of the many who composed his own version of "La Folia".
Yes and No. In Spanish, "La Folia" can translate to "The Folly", but in a more self contained language's meaning it just means like a festivity of sorts to be more specific. It doesn't mean "Corelli's Folly", however, as it is just Corelli's interpretation of a piece called "La Folia". So it would translate to "The Folly" - by Corelli.
@@FinestFantasyVI Took me a minute just now but it looks like it's probably Arcangelo Corelli. The title of the song in the game seems to be a combination of the title of the song (La Follia), and his attribution (Correli). It also spells the title part slightly wrong. And it ALSO seems to be a remix incorporating elements of a few of the song's movements.
....No. "La Follia" doesn't necessarily translate to "The Folly", and this has no meaning. It's just an orchestral interpretation of a famous piece called "La Follia", and this is Corelli's version.
Uu!!! Uu!!! If "La Folia" means "The Folly", Then we can translate the title into: Corelli The Folly... Also, Folly means being foolish so, we can say that the title means that Corelli is a foolish being... now... Who's Corelli? Uu!!! Uu!!!
you could just use the violin version and read it in treble I guess. or maybe turn it into alto, I haven't seen the piece myself and I don't really know how high the notes get so that might be a little awkward. sadly we can't read like flutes lol.
Garry This is the original song from the soundtrack, I mean. This isn't a remix of the song from Ib. But the song from Ib is not exactly a remix either. It's the same song, just played by someone different and on a different kind of piano. It's more of a rendition.
+ArvelDreth Well, I didn't say it is a remix. This piece is a cover. The original is "La Follia" from "Arcangelo Corelli". But he doesn't created it. The first "La Follia" version is older than Corelli's version. Now, we are in peace? xD
Garry I wasn't arguing with you in the first place and the remix thing was referring to the original comment. But yeah, I know about the piece, I've listened to many versions of it.

It took me a year and a half to finally play this piece decently after playing Ib
nice
"La follia" (with 2 "l"s) means "The madness" in modern italian
This Corelli's song is used in Suzuki Violin Book 6
Nice avatar.

You just implied that Corelli created the original (keyword) soundtrack to Ib. Nice.
Bro my church used this for meditation music 💀

It sounds vaguely like Handel's Sarabande (the first part).

Ahhh a good old day.
So, if we localize it, then we get...
"Corelli's Madness"
Or so I assume.
Makes you wonder who Corelli is...
huh. I know this is old. But Im curious. Did you ever figure it out

Woah, my sister is playing this piece on her violin.
I heard Rachmaninoff's Variations on Corelli's theme today and spent half the time wondering where the heck I heard the theme before. Ahh....
nice picture
original song: ruclips.net/video/e8vsjOtkqiM/видео.html
La has tocado? :3 es asombrosa, yo la estoy sacando
Я υ к к α ಠ - ಠ
is there a similar one in spotify?
So am I, its beautiful isn't it ? XD

Times Ibfinity.
I know how to play this in violin
is there viola sheet music?

is this a remix of the original song?
No, this is the original.
+ArvelDreth Are you sure? Search "Corelli La Follia". It's not the same, but I think it is a very good rendition!
Garry

La follia
Corelli La Folia
;-; pq aqui n tem BRs ??? affe
Né, mas eu acho melhor mesmo... Quanto menos modinha melhor
isn't vivaldi the original composer? and this would be the rendition made by corelli.
The follia is an harmonical progression originary from Spain, many composers did variations of this.
Why did it have to be Suzuki's version 😭😭😭😭😭? It's U.G.L.Y!!!!!!!!
But its not suzukis version.....
