The relationship between Bob Arum and Floyd Mayweather is the primary reason that this fight has not, and probably will not, ever happen. Of course, denying people the greatest match up of the era over money isn't very good public relations, so a range of silly excuses have to be put out to confuse the issue. It's a shame.

@erik3423 Pacquiao's camp agreed to the drug testing early in 2011, that has nothing to do with the fight not happening. The reality is it's all about money. The relationship between Bob Arum and Floyd Mayweather is the primary reason that this fight has not, and probably will not, ever happen. Of course, denying people the greatest match up of the era over money isn't very good public relations, so a range of silly excuses have to be put out to confuse the issue. It's a shame.

Money M. won't take the fight with Manny P. because of money greed. Money M will earn more fighting less quality fighter than Pacquiao. Simply because of the money cut from PPV percentage, gate receipts, and 50/50 reward money just to be in the fight as well. Pacquiao is EASY WORK FOR FLOYD. All Pacquiao has to do is step up to the plate and accept the RANDOM BLOOD TESTING, JUST LIKE SHANE MOSLEY ACCEPTED. Floyd accepted ALL PACQUIAOS DEMAND, Pacquiao didnt accept floyd and its not like floyd is making pacquiao due a test thats he not going to do. Pacquiaos camp know that Floyd would win the fight, and that innactivity about floyd doesnt matter. Floyd can take years off and still kick pacquiaos ass.
@dbl88888 In De La Hoya's defenese, it's easy for most people to lose five pounds here and there, that's because they have things like fat and water weight which they can shed without an issue. It's more difficult for a very athletic boxer like De La Hoya because he has a minimal amount of fat and not much water weight to begin with (it's part of conditioning for a fight). He had to shed even more weight than normal to come down to the weight class.

the last time i heard of the pacquaio mayweather fight not happening is because of the drug testing... Now that the drug testing has been agreed, Arum is the other reason why this fight is not happening.... So what will be the next reason why this fight is not happening?

These other little fights? These guys watch cars go around in a circle for hours or talkk about football a game where guys bump into each other than fall down. I'm atotal sports fan but there is one sport that stands on top and its boxing the rest come in second.
Come on people have you forgotten all your boxing knowledge. You have to beat the champ; the champ doesn't have to beat you meaning for a close round the judges will score it for the champ. Rule #2 the championship rounds dictate the decision; Marquez took the last 2 rounds off and that's why he lost the fight. If your dumb enough to leave it to the judges and give the last 2 rounds to your opponent then you deserve to lose the fight!!!
Marquez gain favor from fellow Mexican by telling them that he is supposed to be a winner...those things makes marquez a mexican hero...we recall the 1st fight,Marquez knockdown twice but he claim as winner,2nd fight Marquez was knockdown but still claim as winner,3rd fight Marquez stand still but Pacman has hit more punches and yet Marquez clain as a winner.....marquez is nothing but a self proclaim winner...He knock out Paquaio then no doubt he is the winner...thats all
