@LunarTikOfficial I do believe that GB3 Break Edition, gameplay wise, is a better game. Everything about it is so much smoother than GB4 and has a much better flow, so far. But that doesn't mean we can't enjoy the new one almost as much or even more for some folk.
After finishing Megaton Musashi W which plays almost exactly like Gundam Breaker with much more basic customization, I kinda hoped they learnt a few things from that game. PvP colosseum has its own exclusive parts for the sake of balance(obviously your story/coop builds could be insanely broken and unbalanced) There's aerial and space stages(There used to be one or two in GB2, they really should add one again) Super and Ultimate attacks have better animations There's even combination supers for two units(imagine doing one with your coop buddy) There's new melee attacks you can learn instead of just different sets from weapons.
I liked Megaton Musashi. It Felt very I guess simple is the word I didn't scratch that itch for me. So I ended up Playing Armored core 6. I hope they Pull A Few Things from the past Games like GB3 (I want Mammoths lol) But If They Can Fix The Sync Issue PVP would Increase the LiveSpan Of this Game by So Much. (Even if It comes 6 -8 months down the line)

What would it detract from the base game if they added a PVP mode? (6 months - 1 year down the line ) because in the state, it's in this discussion is becoming a circular one.
Hopefully, they have a future update to remove the cooldown for melee weapons like how they do it in GB3, or simply reduce their cooldown so you can still chain the SP melee with your normal melee then chain back to SP melee. If they allow the use of EX abilities, I'm all in with the V2 Assault Buster Gundam augmented by Trans Am.
Yeah, I wish the option weapons were the same as GB3. I mean in GB4, the movements are already fast and better, so why need to limit the option weapons with cooldowns like that?
I don't see them doing that because the way the Movement is set up in the game you would have Forever Combos if Optional Weapon/ Skills didn't have a cooldown. Trans Am Will Be in the game. They turned Freedom's Super Dragoon/Destiny's Voiture Lumiere into a Transformation (Basically Seed Mode). No Justice For Athrun. I'm getting the deluxe eidtion because it gives you exia as one of the 15 Starter Kits So I'm starting out in Trans Am right off the back with my Build
@superhatebros hopefully you can level up those skills like in GB3 so you can use then with any build. I like going with the base 00 Gundam and go Trans Am.
My boyfriend got me the money to buy the ultimate edition on Nintendo switch since that's the only console I have that I can play it on. My only hope is that they add the Core Gundams, Earthree, marsfour, Nepteight, Veetwo, Ect(etc? Idk). Because the core Gundams are my favorite Ms' and my Gbm main build was Just the Earthree Gundam with Gundam Banshee arms.
I already pre-ordered the Ultimate edition on Steam *i only have PC btw*. With how my only experience of breaker game are Breaker Mobile and New Gundam Breaker, i'm really hype for this game. Some people compare this game with the previous game, GB3 and said it's not as good as that game, but i think it look awesome. Other also comparing it to Megaton Musashi W, which i also played and said it's not as fun and bombastic as that game. The thing is, Megaton Musashi is a Super Robot game, of course it's more bombastic. The ability customization for those game is quite good but the mech customization is kinda meh. Gundam Breaker 4, from what i see so far, have a lot more freedom on mech customization. Dunno about the ability and other gameplay tech wise but i'm sure it will be good too. At least i can be sure i'll have more fun playing GB4 than Musashi, which i get bored easily after finishing the game, because even if i'm bored with grinding, i can still have fun making a cool, unique and even weird gunpla
This Game is MUCH Better Than New Gundam Breaker (Which was actually GB4) and Much Better than Megaton Musahi. I don't think it's better than GB 3 Cause of the Optional Weapons , the weight GB3 Had when it came to combat and the Current hud but Since I'm getting it on Pc I know someone will Mod the Hud lol but I'm Excited for this Game Cause I was able to find some nasty combos and I love that burning finger is now an Optional Weapon lol If you Like man Join our Discord and Friend me and we Can run Games when it Releases.

Maybe if they give us an option to hide some of them like on Monster Hunter or just resize them, it will be much better but oh well, i'm already used to clusterfk HUD lol. I'm sure there'll be mod for it when the game release, maybe in the first week, we know how fast modder work. For the optional weapons though and also EX skill, i think they give them cooldown and energy bar like in the fighting game to limit us a bit, so there's a few spamming build like funnel one. For some people, it's fun to spam a skill but for other, it's kinda cheap to do it over and over again, so i'm okay with a little bit of limitation that we got, make us have a more combo variety and strategize a bit rather than spamming skill

@@jatzjosef your loss I guess but given that this is now the 6th incarnation of a Gundam Breaker game if PVP were to be a thing it would be the first time they have ever implemented it, given the franchise has done well (NGB being the exception) so far I can’t see it being something they feel they need to add.
Well i do agree with you and there should never be a pvp, but just in case it did, what exactly needs to change? Imo the stat of every parts need to be basic when pvping, no upgrade or bonuses what so ever. Atleast this way theres a chance to balance everything.

Imma have to kill your dream right here there is NEVER going to be pvp in this game 1. Because they don’t want to create toxicity with this game and 2. NGB probably only title to do that and the last one to do so they strictly focusing on pve,building,diorama content
I think they patched that. For some reasons mine did not work on the 3rd day. i was also doing dual anti ship part weapons combo but then the cooldown was the same on my 3rd day. Not sure if I did something different with my upgrade but I definitely still have dual antiship on my OP skills
it was a short demo but very fun I did it on Nintendo switch. I hope they ad cross play like most games now a days, that would be so amazing. I just hope they add another 100-200 MS/ Units would like to see some build fight units also leopard gundam, Airmaster, cause the mobile game gundam breaker nearly had like every suit even the wing sires dessert units from the sandrock pilot home town
I Really Enjoyed this game and I just want this game to succeed. Your Largest audience will most likely be Playstation 4 and playstation 5 becuase of the cross play between thoses. Usually, Crossplay is harder for games when it comes to Nintendo because. 1 Nintendo doesnt usually like to play ball with playstation or PC. 2. the developer doesn't want to pay the server costs as well. Epic threw so much money at all the major companies to get them to play nice. Which makes fortnite the outlier.
I mean it has a base set of over 250 suits, it’ll likely have every suit in GB3 and NGB, we already know they are adding at least some suits from GBM, Witch From Mercury, Build Fighters and UC movies plus there’s the addition of SD suits. The game has a season pass so at least 1-4 DLC waves of new suits to come plus we know they added some additional grunt suits like the Leo so it’s likely gonna have 300-350 suits over all
Even though I definitely have an interest in this game, I might wait for the BREAKER EDITION. Did purchase Gundam Breaker 3 regular and Breaker Edition. Dang, that gane was addictive!!!!🤪🤪🤪
A small gripe/nitpick I have about the game, from what I've seen, is the explosions when you defeat a enemy gundam looks trash compared to GB3. It probably comes from the fact that this game was developed with the switch's hardware in mind, as they wanted all the versions to look consistent with each other. Hopefully some people will get on the modding scene to fix minor stuff like that (and the UI, like you mentioned). Besides that, I'm super hype for this one.
My main question as someone who has never played a Gundam Breaker game. How does it feel compared to Armored Core? The good, the bad, whats the "vibe"?
Armored Core Feels like Kingdom hearts 1 (very grounded , your actions have weight and alot of commitment and you what you have equipped matters) Mecha BREAK (Currently playtesting it, Review on the 9th) feels like KH2( you have to aim yourself, greater combo potential, still feels weighted but more free than the first one) , Gundam Breaker 4 is Kingdom hearts 3 ( Very Floaty with fast noncommittal movement, combo potential is limited to your execution. Easier than the first 2 but still very fun. ALOT more customization)
It's dynasty warriors in gundam skin. It's exactly like that. At least kingdom hearts is much more a technical action rpg. This one, just plain mindless button smashin game with GREAT CUSTOMIZATION BTW
Will probably get it on 50% or more sale. Love Gundam but this game can't scratch my mech combat itch. Customization is great but combat.... is boring for my preferrence. I spent hundreds of hours from GB3 but I think I can't spend another hundreds in this game. Smoother gameplay and better customization but in terms of combat and combat mechanics it's not better from GB3 mechanics especially after removing the directional button weapon switching system - then putting cool down on melee and one time use range - and replaced it with OP skills to cater the dual wielding mechanics. Sad.
Yeah I didn't mention it for time reasons on the video but I tested what do I lose out on if I didn't equip a second weapon and just ran solo Katana. You Lose out on ALOT and handicap yourself. I was expecting a solo weapon to have charge attacks or something but it left we with a weak shoulder tackle. So you're forced into running two weapons BUT I will say Making Palm Moves like Lightning ball, Palm Forcina and I'm Assuming Burning/Shining Finger a Optional Weapon Makes up for it in my opinion lol
This, exactly how I felt for removing the weapon switching system from GB3. GB4 wasted that mechanics just to give you dual wielding that's basically does nothing significant only different animation combinations with half of the supposed combo from the previous games. It's like they removed the full combo that you can previously do in a single weapon then forcing you to equip another melee just to give you the capabilities to do longer or complete combos.
@pizzagundam920 I'm not a big fan of losing some charge attacks but I will say having different arms adds more depth which is good. My biggest concern with GB4 is if we can Learn Skills regardless of parts. I didn't see that system in it, but I figured it was only because were in beta

I thought so at first too but if they made it like GB3 you would have Forever Combos. At least they made attacks like Electric Ball and I'm assuming shining finger a Optional weapon. So it's on a 10 sec cooldown.
Why they dont make gameplay like extreme vs but u can customize your machine .. just make the battle system like extreme vs series .. and make the boost last longer too.. i think gundam breaker combat not too exciting like extreme vs series .. this just my opinion .. anyone else agree .. or just me 😁😁
I really did love the extreme and gundam versus. That would be the ultimate gundam game if we got something like that. Fortunately they did buff the boost gauge so it takes awhile for it to run out now.
I didn't say put it in on release just a year down the line to give players something to come back too. I'm currently playtesting Mecha Break and it only makes those feelings even stronger now.
i was pretty sad that i only made it to the tutorial only to find out the test was over. but the tutorial itself made me want to buy the game. i tried it on the switch
Idk how PVP would work. Just doesn't seem the combat is made for it especially if you have a builds that be for cheesing some battles like stun locking opponents.

I can respect those sentiments. I'm not a big believer in the $70 price point for base game and paywalling content already in the game on release. Admittedly, I haven't been a true ubisoft fan since Black Flag. It's really a damned if you do damned if you don't with them, right?

5:00 (heres a clip for example) So this game is a bit more rewarding than GB3 but so in this game it has a combo meter and break meter. When you combo/break more parts you're guaranteed parts as a result. It took me like 4-5 Runs to Get Destiny Trio and Astray kit on Hardcore.
You'll get burned out again. No sugar coating. I love gundam so much so this is not biased imo if you feel that way from gb3. And I think that gb3 got better mechanics on some things especially the weapon switching system. Gb4 removed that system to cater the dual wielding mechanics. Meh.

I didn't mind it when I turned my brain off and ignored it but when you compare it to GB3's Hud 2:25 compared to 1:41 It's Night and Day which one was better in my opinion

This Game Is HEAVILY Modeled after GB3. So I can't see them leaving out an important feature like that. As for the Customization I also saw someone make a Elemental Neo's Gundam.
Any idea how the lock-on system work? Does it still using traditional hard lock like the one in SD Gundam game recently? Man i hate that system, it wasting your laser stream
Overall its better than SD Gundam Alliance. The FOV is pushed out so i dont think youll have a problem hitting your shots. There are two types of lock-on technically. 3 First Lock on is traditional lockon where it'll adjust your camera to face where the enemy is. The second lock on is free lockon by hitting the top d pad. Your camera won't auto adjust, and you only lock on to the target you're facing 🙄(it's trash, don't use it). 3rd type of lock on is free shooting. Since there are two weapons for both arms, you can't aim with the left trigger button. So you hit L2 +L1 and goes into free shooting. Free shooting turns you into Shaq at the free throw line and enables you to miss every shot (don't use it.)
If you've never played a Gundam Breaker game this is great entery point I to the series. Creating your own models and collect adds alot of longevity to the game but if you're looking scratch your PVP itch Mecha Break is having an Open Beta 10-13

That's what I'm saying. The reason I'm holding on to hope is because, when you look into the promotional work for it. They never mention Bounties, which is in the game. They never mentioned survival mode, which is in the game. People still play Armored core for the pvp. If they give it to us a year later, I'm happy.
I just don't like the movement system in these games I want the machine to respond how I want it to respond instead of pre-programmed movement sets like the old armored core games and Ace combat I want my machine to move exactly how I want it to ....
You SO much Movement in this game. This Is The Fastest Pace Game in the Series and I think alot of people are going to have a harder time to adjust because they take alot of the tracking away.

Imo the stat of every parts need to be basic when pvping, no upgrade or bonuses what so ever. Atleast this way theres a chance to balance everything.

I think they patched that. For some reasons mine did not work on the 3rd day. i was also doing dual anti ship part weapons combo but then the cooldown was the same on my 3rd day. Not sure if I did something different with my upgrade but I definitely still have dual antiship on my OP skills

I Really Enjoyed this game and I just want this game to succeed. Your Largest audience will most likely be Playstation 4 and playstation 5 becuase of the cross play between thoses. Usually, Crossplay is harder for games when it comes to Nintendo because. 1 Nintendo doesnt usually like to play ball with playstation or PC. 2. the developer doesn't want to pay the server costs as well. Epic threw so much money at all the major companies to get them to play nice. Which makes fortnite the outlier.

I mean it has a base set of over 250 suits, it’ll likely have every suit in GB3 and NGB, we already know they are adding at least some suits from GBM, Witch From Mercury, Build Fighters and UC movies plus there’s the addition of SD suits. The game has a season pass so at least 1-4 DLC waves of new suits to come plus we know they added some additional grunt suits like the Leo so it’s likely gonna have 300-350 suits over all

A small gripe/nitpick I have about the game, from what I've seen, is the explosions when you defeat a enemy gundam looks trash compared to GB3. It probably comes from the fact that this game was developed with the switch's hardware in mind, as they wanted all the versions to look consistent with each other. Hopefully some people will get on the modding scene to fix minor stuff like that (and the UI, like you mentioned). Besides that, I'm super hype for this one.
Which is why I'm getting the pc version for the modding potential, and hopefully, I can adjust the hub or someone modes it out.
If your only experience is NGB go ahead and buy it. If you own GB3 you already have the superior game

My main question as someone who has never played a Gundam Breaker game.
How does it feel compared to Armored Core? The good, the bad, whats the "vibe"?
Armored Core Feels like Kingdom hearts 1 (very grounded , your actions have weight and alot of commitment and you what you have equipped matters) Mecha BREAK (Currently playtesting it, Review on the 9th) feels like KH2( you have to aim yourself, greater combo potential, still feels weighted but more free than the first one) , Gundam Breaker 4 is Kingdom hearts 3 ( Very Floaty with fast noncommittal movement, combo potential is limited to your execution. Easier than the first 2 but still very fun. ALOT more customization)

Will probably get it on 50% or more sale. Love Gundam but this game can't scratch my mech combat itch. Customization is great but combat.... is boring for my preferrence. I spent hundreds of hours from GB3 but I think I can't spend another hundreds in this game. Smoother gameplay and better customization but in terms of combat and combat mechanics it's not better from GB3 mechanics especially after removing the directional button weapon switching system - then putting cool down on melee and one time use range - and replaced it with OP skills to cater the dual wielding mechanics. Sad.
Yeah I didn't mention it for time reasons on the video but I tested what do I lose out on if I didn't equip a second weapon and just ran solo Katana. You Lose out on ALOT and handicap yourself. I was expecting a solo weapon to have charge attacks or something but it left we with a weak shoulder tackle. So you're forced into running two weapons BUT I will say Making Palm Moves like Lightning ball, Palm Forcina and I'm Assuming Burning/Shining Finger a Optional Weapon Makes up for it in my opinion lol
This, exactly how I felt for removing the weapon switching system from GB3. GB4 wasted that mechanics just to give you dual wielding that's basically does nothing significant only different animation combinations with half of the supposed combo from the previous games. It's like they removed the full combo that you can previously do in a single weapon then forcing you to equip another melee just to give you the capabilities to do longer or complete combos.
@pizzagundam920 I'm not a big fan of losing some charge attacks but I will say having different arms adds more depth which is good. My biggest concern with GB4 is if we can Learn Skills regardless of parts. I didn't see that system in it, but I figured it was only because were in beta
NGB did one thing right: it introduced all manner of new kits to put into GB4. :)

I thought so at first too but if they made it like GB3 you would have Forever Combos. At least they made attacks like Electric Ball and I'm assuming shining finger a Optional weapon. So it's on a 10 sec cooldown.

To be fair we were only doing level 1-3 quest. Once I got to high build rank the Bounties were Much harder.
They were pretty aggressive in 3 on Newtype mode. We haven't seen it all just yet.

Why they dont make gameplay like extreme vs but u can customize your machine .. just make the battle system like extreme vs series .. and make the boost last longer too.. i think gundam breaker combat not too exciting like extreme vs series .. this just my opinion .. anyone else agree .. or just me 😁😁
I really did love the extreme and gundam versus. That would be the ultimate gundam game if we got something like that. Fortunately they did buff the boost gauge so it takes awhile for it to run out now.

Idk how PVP would work. Just doesn't seem the combat is made for it especially if you have a builds that be for cheesing some battles like stun locking opponents.

I can respect those sentiments. I'm not a big believer in the $70 price point for base game and paywalling content already in the game on release. Admittedly, I haven't been a true ubisoft fan since Black Flag. It's really a damned if you do damned if you don't with them, right?

does this game have the repetitive grind? It only took me like an hour of playing GB3 before I get burned out
5:00 (heres a clip for example) So this game is a bit more rewarding than GB3 but so in this game it has a combo meter and break meter. When you combo/break more parts you're guaranteed parts as a result. It took me like 4-5 Runs to Get Destiny Trio and Astray kit on Hardcore.
You'll get burned out again. No sugar coating. I love gundam so much so this is not biased imo if you feel that way from gb3. And I think that gb3 got better mechanics on some things especially the weapon switching system. Gb4 removed that system to cater the dual wielding mechanics. Meh.

This Game Is HEAVILY Modeled after GB3. So I can't see them leaving out an important feature like that. As for the Customization I also saw someone make a Elemental Neo's Gundam.

It's more PvE. There's some pvp but the game as a whole is basically gundam diablo if that makes sense

Any idea how the lock-on system work? Does it still using traditional hard lock like the one in SD Gundam game recently? Man i hate that system, it wasting your laser stream
Overall its better than SD Gundam Alliance. The FOV is pushed out so i dont think youll have a problem hitting your shots. There are two types of lock-on technically. 3 First Lock on is traditional lockon where it'll adjust your camera to face where the enemy is. The second lock on is free lockon by hitting the top d pad. Your camera won't auto adjust, and you only lock on to the target you're facing 🙄(it's trash, don't use it). 3rd type of lock on is free shooting. Since there are two weapons for both arms, you can't aim with the left trigger button. So you hit L2 +L1 and goes into free shooting. Free shooting turns you into Shaq at the free throw line and enables you to miss every shot (don't use it.)
So basically just always use Traditional lock on?

If you've never played a Gundam Breaker game this is great entery point I to the series. Creating your own models and collect adds alot of longevity to the game but if you're looking scratch your PVP itch Mecha Break is having an Open Beta 10-13

That's what I'm saying. The reason I'm holding on to hope is because, when you look into the promotional work for it. They never mention Bounties, which is in the game. They never mentioned survival mode, which is in the game. People still play Armored core for the pvp. If they give it to us a year later, I'm happy.

I just don't like the movement system in these games I want the machine to respond how I want it to respond instead of pre-programmed movement sets like the old armored core games and Ace combat I want my machine to move exactly how I want it to ....
You SO much Movement in this game. This Is The Fastest Pace Game in the Series and I think alot of people are going to have a harder time to adjust because they take alot of the tracking away.
