Chairon: Cowards! You will pay for what you've done A Rubric marine whose Primarch's actions leaded his legion to getting massacred by The space furries without him asking and then was turned into the ash can by Ahriman: 🗿
The banner scene has a nice touch. Tharius is actually the marine om the right being dragged. Their is another marine on the left who has lost his leg as well. You can actually kill any enemy that attempts to finish him off and keep him from dying until the Calgar cutscene starts
Why does the Sorcerer of the Thousand sons appear to be mutated by the warp? Aren't they immune to it? Because from what I remember the Rubric spell made it so that they didn't get mutated by the warp and that's why the spell turned the Legionaires that weren't atune with the warp into the Rubric Marines while the ones that are remained normal and unaffected
The rubric temporarily cured the psykers among the legion, but over time and as they've delved deeper into the powers of the warp and worship of Tzeentch mutations are bound to reoccur.
I don't know much about the thousand sons, but from what I do know is that those who basically didn't have psyker abilities had their physical bodies transformed into dust, forever trapping them in their ceramite armour, while those who did have psyker abilities were spared. However, I believe it's possible that they'll still experience a few minor mutations here and there.
It's likely a gift from his respective God (tzeentch), and no chaos marine is immune to mutation thats why they go to the eye of terror and not the true warp. The rubric was used to stop the genetic flaw of the flesh change.

It baffles me a bit, the Thousand Sons losses horrendously against Ultramar's Titus. How the hell they are going to recover from this. I think most Runic Marines are made of dust inside that armor. Are you telling me that Tzeentch can just revive them out of the immaterium because is all part of his plan. That sounds too convineint to compensate from being incompetenc in the part of Tzeentch.
Tzeentch himself is utterly crazy because of the myriad of plans upon plans he constantly makes. Despite the sheer amount of knowledge and scheming he's capable of, he also ends up tripping over himself quite a bit. All the Chaos Gods have a particular strength that also serves as their greatest weakness. Khorne's bloodlust is his greatest tool, but it also makes him quite predictable. Nurgle's rot and pestilence is inevitable, but it often is very slow to act, and can be countered if one acts quickly and sharply enough. Slaanesh's strength is how easily the things he...she...they...it emphasize can take root in the hearts of mortals and how they can easily spiral out of control and cause them to throw out all sense of decency for the sake of excessive indulgence. But at the same time, Slaanesh gets off on it so much that there's no motivation to actually win in totality as a result.
Spoilers for Space Marine I and II! Remember, in Space Marine I, Captain Titus was a blank. that's why he was able to handle the Warp device without being injured/killed. it wasn't because he had been corrupted by the ruinous powers, but because him being a blank... makes him innately immune to the warp. now, we see him resist the Warp, once again 🙂↕️🙂↔️
I’ve just started diving into 40k lore. Played the two games, been playing Darktide, and omg I’ve been missing out. Now as for books…..how does a beginner get into it
You start with Horus Heresy series and all older books. Do not buy stuff after Primaris marines creation, to me they are boring and artificial. I hate Primaris, they are so against the lore it is crazy they invented them this way.
@@mb77mb66 Horus Heresy series, gotcha! Can’t wait to dive in. Always hearing about the Emperor, I wonder if he’s still around and why he has never joined us in battle
@@TheMakerSKDon't listen to the dude above who saId screw Primaris." His advice on tarton with the Heresy is good, and I'm mixed on the Primaris's addition to the lore, but you should form your own opinion on the subject.
@@TheMakerSK I admire your optimism... But. The Warhammer 40k universe has an extensive range of books, which includes different series such as the Horus Heresy, Siege of Terra, and many standalone novels. The Horus Heresy series alone has around 54 main novels and numerous short stories and novellas. There are well over 300 published works, consisting of novels, anthologies, and audio dramas. New books continue to be released regularly, so the total number continues to grow as the lore expands. This doesn't even include rulebooks and codices, which add even more to the count. So, counting all of the media forms (novels, short stories, audiobooks), you're looking at a vast number of entries into the lore, all providing different perspectives and deepening the Warhammer universe. So this thing is bigger than Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Starcraft, Warcraft combined :D I am not the best person to discuss the Emperor being that my favorite faction is Chaos, so I am mostly for the four Chaos Gods :) If you go back about three decades into the past, you will see that Warhammer was just a game about basic marines which later evolved into what it is today, Space Marines, Imperial Guard etc. Necrons were once undead cybernetic skeletons, and over time they got Egyptian history glued to them, making them Pharaoh undead cybernetic skeletons with various dynasties.. Games Workshop changes things over time. Latest addition is Primaris marines which ... are not in my humble opinion introduced in alignment with the lore. But I will leave you to decide for yourself.
@@mb77mb66 I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. I’m a big reader and writer so diving into this series is going to be one of the best things that I do.
Ok….distracting a Primaris Space Marine for another one to shoot a Heavy Lasgun is one thing we can accept. But…the death of Sargeant Verelus due to a random explosion and a piece of steel rebar outta nowhere through the eye was so nonsense that seemed to be kinda hurried by the devs. C’mon….🤨
This sort of stuff can happen in the tabletop. Advanced as their armor and their augmentations are, they're still mortals and can die from the simplest of things.
@@Stormyy6310 Brother please, these Astartes were just being too emotional and lost their cool for a second, please forgive them brother as the Emperor would to!
The Tzaangor are the models GW tries to force into the ranks of the Thousand Sons. I don't mind Tzaangor, but they could actually try creating original models for the CSMs, or literally at other faction.
Space Marines (power = 1): The classic Astartes, standing around 7 feet tall and weighing in at hundreds of pounds of muscle and armor. They can lift and carry several tons, and their armor increases their strength and durability even further. Primaris Marines (power = 2): Larger than standard Space Marines, standing about 8 feet tall, with enhanced physical traits. They are stronger, faster, and more durable, capable of lifting heavier loads and withstanding more damage in battle. Their armor and weapons are advanced, adding to their already impressive combat abilities. Triaris Marines (power = 3): These Marines would be a full head taller, nearing 9 feet. Their muscle density would increase, making them significantly stronger-able to rip through tank armor or hurl vehicles with ease. They might also have bone reinforcement upgrades, making them nearly unbreakable. In close combat, their sheer weight and power would turn them into living battering rams. Quaternions Marines (power = 4): These Marines would be over 10 feet tall, with immense strength and speed. They could lift entire tanks with minimal effort, run at speeds far beyond human capacity, and their reflexes would allow them to dodge most incoming fire. Their armor would be thicker, built to withstand even the heaviest ordnance. They would also have a built-in ability to withstand extreme environmental conditions without any support. Pentaris Marines (power = 5): At this stage, the Marines would be the size of a small Dreadnought, likely reaching 12 feet in height and weighing tons. Their strength would be unparalleled, allowing them to tear apart enemy walkers with their bare hands. They could wield heavier weaponry, like tank-sized cannons, with ease. Their increased size and mass would make them slow in normal circumstances, but their enhanced reflexes would compensate. Hexaris Marines (power = 6): At this level, these Marines would rival Imperial Knights in size, around 15 feet tall. Their physical strength would allow them to lift objects the size of buildings. With their larger frame, they would likely wield heavy vehicle-mounted weapons in their hands. Despite their size, they would maintain a high level of agility, leaping great distances in a single bound. Armor would be nearly impenetrable. Heptaris Marines (power = 7): These Marines would be closer to small Titans in stature, standing nearly 20 feet tall. Their strength would be titanic, able to crush anything smaller than a vehicle underfoot. Despite their bulk, they would retain tactical awareness and be able to outmaneuver large enemies. Their armor would have reactive elements, capable of deflecting massive energy blasts or artillery. Octaris Marines (power = 8): Standing at around 25 feet, these Marines would be living war machines. Their strength would allow them to wield even the largest battlefield weapons with ease, and their armored exoskeleton would make them resistant to nearly all forms of conventional damage. They could engage both infantry and tanks with ease, able to stomp through enemy lines like a walking siege weapon. Nonaris Marines (power = 9): At this point, they would be nearing 30 feet in height. Their bodies would be augmented with mechanical systems that enhance their already incredible strength, making them capable of feats that even Titans would struggle with. They could tear apart buildings or devastate entire squads with a single swing of a giant weapon. Their speed, agility, and battle precision would be awe-inspiring, despite their size. Decaris Marines (power = 10): Finally, these Marines would be towering behemoths, possibly reaching 35 feet in height. Their physical strength would be so extreme that they could tear apart enemy titans or fortifications with their bare hands. Their armor would be the strongest in the Imperium, rivaling that of super-heavy tanks, and their endurance would make them nearly impossible to kill in battle. Even entire armies would struggle to bring one down.
@@Caballaria-sc2sj Yes :D I have asked AI to extrapolate space marine power progression. At first he made them with some super powers, then I asked him to extrapolate based on physical attributes. What Games Workshop did with Primaris was add completely new dimension to Wh40 which seriously breaks the rules of the universe and allows for Decaris Marines. Disney is doing the same thing with new Star Wars, for example when they allowed warp speed to be used as a weapon. Imagine homing warp torpedoes which you could lanch from some planet and assault some other planet somewhere far away in the galaxy.
@@mb77mb66 I wouldn't mind warp speed as a weapon if they had explained clearly why such a weapon cannot be used all the time and why it only works in special circumstances. Anyhow who cares about weaponized warp speed when that whole trilogy sucks through and through?

There's multiple ways to get rubrics back. There's doing sacrifice magic to bring them back, recasting mini rubrics on new marines, and chronomancy where you just turn back time on a marine.
They can bring the Rubrics back, typically by shoving the dust back in and repairing the damage one way or another. It’s one of the more dangerous aspects of the Thousand Sons, cause like the Necrons, killing the Rubrics permanently isn’t the easiest task.
They bring them back constantly in the novels. You can obliterate one until even the armor doesn't exist, but a Thousand Sons sorcerer nearby can take the spirit and raise it in another suit of power armor. There was an extreme cost to achieve this obviously and Ahriman is still around trying to undo it. The rubric did something to their very essence, its a torture that they can't be released even if they are destroyed.
Rubric Marines are immortal in a sense that they can’t be brought down by anything short of the near total destruction of their armor. And even then their souls can be resummoned to a new or repaired suit with ease.

@@andyroobrick-a-brack9355 In three books which I read, it was very strictly written how genseed mutation works. Genseed contains genecode of their primarch which can be mild, depending on how often it was changed, and many space marines were using it. If it doesn't have any mutations. For example take Night Lords and Blood Angels, their skin is pale, hair colour also is changed, the last one at same time has visions of Sanguinis because off genecode they technically are small copies of primarch. That is the point of all this process becoming space marine (It restructures your gene code, not just adding muscles). (If you don't know blood angels before were recruited on the desert planet, and of course they weren't blonde and white haired) If you think space marines change their genecode depending on the planet, you are wrong, because the secret of producing pure genecode was lost, they are reusing existing ones.

So this thing is bigger than Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Starcraft, Warcraft combined :D
I am not the best person to discuss the Emperor being that my favorite faction is Chaos, so I am mostly for the four Chaos Gods :)
If you go back about three decades into the past, you will see that Warhammer was just a game about basic marines which later evolved into what it is today, Space Marines, Imperial Guard etc.

For example take Night Lords and Blood Angels, their skin is pale, hair colour also is changed, the last one at same time has visions of Sanguinis because off genecode they technically are small copies of primarch. That is the point of all this process becoming space marine (It restructures your gene code, not just adding muscles). (If you don't know blood angels before were recruited on the desert planet, and of course they weren't blonde and white haired)
If you think space marines change their genecode depending on the planet, you are wrong, because the secret of producing pure genecode was lost, they are reusing existing ones. The only case when space marine can look differently by skin and face structure is when his genseed is too mutated
